Does anyone here keep up with the manbooker prize? The longlist came out a couple days ago. I am currently reading Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh which is also on the longlist.

When pics of it first popped up a korean fan on my timeline automatically assumed it was henna. Hwa sa and whee in both have real matching tattoos on the back of their ankles. Not sure yet if this one on Hwa Sa's arm is real. Wouldn't be surprised if it was.

I am getting back into learning Japanese. I have tried many times but I always give up OTL. Learning hirigana and katakana and making them second nature is difficult for me. I have been using memrise a lot and recently starting writing them out. Hopefully if I am persistent it will all click into place. Question: How do you all differentiate shi, tsu, n and so for katakana. They are so similiar looking and sometimes different fonts will trip me up. Ra, chi and sa trip me up in hiragana sometimes too but not ad bad haha.
