Not all X1 members want to keep the group alive
Mees Madds replied to a topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
Are we ever going to have a discussion over how easily media manipulates us with shady articles? They don't even need a full article actually, kpop fans will only read the title or a summary from oh_mes anyway Btw, X1 members are seen at Swing everyday, even earlier today. They are changing hair colors and don't seem to have stopped living together. Nothing indicates the members would want out so let's not stop the drama until the drama actually happens. -
This whole thing smells tbh. This is the first year of Vlive Awards and they decide to hold it at Gocheok Dome? While knowing no other big group will come? But they have X1 on the list. X1 who had the biggest viewership after BTS this year on vlive. And who had already filled Gocheok Dome at their debut. So they knew they could sell the tickets to One Its. But then the shit show happened. And there were still reassurances X1 will attend. Until one day before. They did this to profit over One Its without carrying about them.

It wasn't even sold out before. Other fandoms just didn't want to come. One Its tried to sell their tickets at a much lower price but couldn't. Idk if Mnet worked with Vlive to keep reassuring fans X1 would come until 1 day before so they would buy the tickets but the result is One Its were hurt both financially and emotionally over this whole thing.

I don't want to defend Seungri but I guess this comment found on nb is worth a read. I'll admit I saw Seungri fans trying to spread this kind of defence but I always ignored it before. But considering he is not even investigated over crimes from the molka chat, it's worth taking a look. " He was in a chat room but the media has glossed over which one it was. There were multiple chat rooms on JJY's phone (around 20 I believe) and he was definitely in a chat group with JJY, Yoo and others but it has not been revealed as to which specific chat group it was. When the case first broke out, the media lumped all of them together to sensationalize the case and said they were in the same group chat. But a few months in, a few other media outlets reported that it was the 'Mildang Pocha' (JJY's restaurant) business chat where they discussed business matters. It was made vague on purpose and there is a lot of room for doubt as to which chat groups he was in. There's so much of misinformation regarding this in the media and nobody truly knows the truth since it hasn't been revealed to the public. What people who have followed the case do know however are; 1. From what was released in the media, Seungri never shared any illegal videos or participated even once, in any of the conversations that talked about rape or Molka or any sort of sexual misdemeanor. There are no chat screenshots to show that he did. This is why the case is murky cause it implies that he either was not in the specific chat thread or didn't see any of these msgs or ignored all of the msgs if he was. These were the conversations that CJH, JJY, Heo, Kim, Kwon & Lee Jonghyun all took part in. Roy Kim, Jinwoon & Junhyeong replied on one-on-one chat groups to these videos and images. These conversations were quite graphic. 2. There was one time however, that SR had reportedly replied to an illegal image with "who’s that? ㅋㅋ" "is it XX hyung" but it was later revealed that it was simply a porn pic/semi-naked pic of Yoo. Again, the details of these are extremely grainy and out of context. What makes it even murkier is that the media copy pasted this exact response on multiple different occasions to make it seem as if he took part in these conversations. The results were quite disjointed. The media manipulation was found out later on. Regardless of how the media portrayed him to be the ringleader of these chats, he was ultimately not charged with filming or sharing Molka after investigations. 3. SR reportedly said in an interview, which the media refused to publish at first, that he had asked the chatroom members to stop sharing Molka. This implies that he had seen something, at least at the start, even though there aren't any conversations to prove that he was involved. 4. For added context, early Kakao Group chat structure enabled a user to have multiple private sub-groups inside a greater group chat. So someone inside a separate sub group chat could technically be called as being part of the main group chat. To note: There is a possibility that Molka was shared in whatever chat he was in, regardless of it being the main chat or the business chat. There is no proof for or against this hypothesis. However, nothing revealed so far indicates that he actively responded and participated in these conversations. All in all, nobody knows jack expect for those involved and the police and the prosecutors who have the chat logs in their possession. This is long but I hope you get an informed overview of this part of the case."

I went looking for more info about the difference in years for each of them and I'll have to rely on Soompi's translation: "For Jung Joon Young, the prosecution requested seven years in prison for charges of filming and spreading illegally taken footage in addition to a case of aggravated rape (refers to rape that involves two or more perpetrators). The prosecution requested five years in prison for Choi Jong Hoon, who is being charged for participation in the aggravated rape case. 10 years in prison were requested both for former Burning Sun employee Mr. Kim and office worker Mr. Kwon on charges including quasi-rape (refers to rape when the victim is unconscious or unable to resist), and five years were requested for former entertainment agency employee Mr. Heo for the charge of aggravated quasi-rape." The difference comes from the fact JJY and Jonghyun being able to reach a settlement with the victims which the others could not: "The prosecution commented, “The demands were made considering the natures of the crimes and that settlements have not been reached with the victims.”" https://www.soompi.com/article/1365382wpp/prosecution-requests-prison-sentences-for-jung-joon-young-and-choi-jong-hoons-sexual-crimes So, in light of this new info, I'm going to change the title of the thread to something more appropriate.

There are already thready about JJY with no mention of Kwon Hyun Jun in them which is why I felt I had to put the emphasis on him in this one. I find it a bit troubling you are taking more issue with me using her name than her brother being an alleged rapist but I understand it's a tough time for her fans. Just keep in mind I'm not a news source, just someone on the internet discussing the biggest scandal in kpop. There hasn't been a day in the last 9 months that kpop fans didn't ask when are the guilty guys gonna be prosecuted. Now that it's happening, we have the right to discuss all the aspects of it.

I'm sorry too but I believe spreading awareness is more important than what you consider lame. I would have mentioned Employee Kim in the title since he is facing 10 years too but I don't know his identity precisely. From international kpop fans, unlike knets, Yuri is not going to be affected by this even if I mention her.

More details: https://www.soompi.com/article/1365382wpp/prosecution-requests-prison-sentences-for-jung-joon-young-and-choi-jong-hoons-sexual-crimes The important part: "The prosecution commented, “The demands were made considering the natures of the crimes and that settlements have not been reached with the victims.”" This was what Kwon Hyuk Jun had to say a few months ago: "Hello, you who are hiding behind an anonymous account. I am properly participating in all the investigations. It's not up to you to decide if I can stand firmly or not with the sins I've committed. I was only included in the work-related KakaoTalk during the opening of Milddang Pocha. I don't know anything about the prostitution allegations or other reports. Why don't you come forward, reveal your identity and talk to me."

TBH, if I was one of the trainees rigged out of IZ*ONE...
Mees Madds replied to Apple4444's topic in Random
IZ*ONE and to a lesser extend X1 have fans that have nothing to do with Produce. The suggestion of adding other people to these groups makes no sense. Their fandoms aren't charities. If there is to be a compensation then it should not involve the fandoms, only the companies.
