I agree with a lot of what you said. It is important to remain objective despite our biases. Both sides tends to get carried away when it comes to winner vs ikon. I remember there was also plagiarism controversy between body and Jackson's papillon mv but it never got as big as this. A think a discussion would be nice maybe make an academic debate where both sides presents their arguments and engage in rebuttals lmao. That would probably never happen but it would interesting to watch. -
I think the main problem is that before we found out which song, practically all ikonics defended by saying that Don't forget was written 4 years ago. Of course, only a small portion of those ikonics used that lie to attack Yoon, but I still don't like the implications of this. The first person that started it may have made a mistake, however, I seriously doubt that all of them who spoke up didn't know that they were talking about the wrong song. The translation of the vlive is from a well know translator and retweeted hundreds of times. This means the fandom deliberately allowed this to happen. No one bothered to correct their fandom even when they are spreading false information that can possibly be used to hurt a completely innocent person.

Yep that is the dumbest shit. Anyone can claim anything but it doesn't change the fact that Fool was released a year ago. Therefore, legally, Kang Seungyoon owns the rights to that and no one can take that away. Judging by the bi's words, he only heard fool after it was released so it is unlikely that Winner and ikon share their samples with each other. Personally, I think plagiarism is a harsh word. I incline to believe BI when he says he composed it unknowingly. Coincidences happen all the time. Although it is a little unsettling that the tempo is also exactly the same. However, I do not know why in the world yg chose to release it. I seriously doubt that he didn't hear it. It is a extremely bad move on his part.

I don't know if it is any indication but one year ago Winner only had 900,000 YT subscribers Now it is at 1,500,000. This is a 66% increase. I'm not saying that our fandom also grew that much but it is still alot
