omg yess I missed them so much I'm gonna be delusional and let myself believe that they'll really debut in August. I feel like YG wouldn't want to miss out on making all of his boy groups debut in August so I am optimistic about all of this. NO @ Bobby's hair. B.I keeps looking better I can't handle it. Yunhyeong is just beautiful. I can't believe this is happening. Finally

YG still might change his mind and put Hanna back in the group, he's said many things that didn't come true about this group before. What worries me is, whether she really is to be solo/put in a different unit/debut with this group, the last few days must have hurt Hanna's pride badly. I mean, I'm sure she's realized her performance didn't live up to the hype but also the way YG announced she wouldn't be part of the group while she was performing, then getting removed from the performances, and Jinusean saying that they'll be looking forward to performances with other idols bc they'd do well.. It feels like they did her dirty tbh. Everyone is raving about her transformation but I feel like that's also a part of why she couldn't perform properly? The CL makeover doesn't come naturally/work for everyone. She was put in a song that doesn't suit her voice and trying to work the stage with "swag" looking beautiful all at the same time. Feels like it just wasn't for her. Gotta love how Ikon always comes up in this thread. You don't even know if the remaining members are really better than them, let it go.

aww @ Donghyuk's baby photo. So cute. So.. Big Bang is promoting for 4 months lol. The chances of Ikon debuting during that time are really slim imo. I really thought they'd debut faster than this but oh well, as long as their debut is good. I guess some members could use the extended training time. B.I better slay with his songs when they debut. So excited to see them perform. I hope they do well.

Where in my post did I say it was a big deal?

^She did get work done. The only problem with that is the fact YG had to run his mouth off about this group's visuals and how natural they would be, which will definitely be brought up as if it's Hanna's fault or something. Then again female idols, especially the ones as exposed as YG's, will always get hated on for stupid reasons so it doesn't matter. It seemed like Hanna forgot when to stop singing after the first chorus in the Sketchbook performance, that was cute lol.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AdJ0N4HrF0 I love this song and Bom's old voice. :rlytearpls:

What is happening with Hanna's voice in those performances? I was really impressed with her in M&M but here, idk. I guess she's nervous and they probably told her to go for that soft/mellow sound or something. It doesn't suit her voice tbh. She looks amazing though. They better debut this year.

I know it's too early to start complaining about how YG's promoting the boys but seriously... No IkonTV, no individual activities for any of the boys except a CF for Bobby, not even a "oops sorry they were delayed" statement. At this rate even Bobby's hype will have died down by the time they debut. I guess at least this means some people can stop foaming at the mouth every time Ikon is mentioned with the YG favoritism!!! stuff.

^Hanna's looks are just fine, in fact I think her addition to the group has been one of the best things to happen to them. Like you said the group needs more people who don't look like they just got off the plane from LA. She adds variety to their looks. Not everyone has to be a visual and she's a good vocalist with a lot of potential. So yeah she's just fine lol.

You're definitely right about the last part lol. Thanks, I'll post more. I think I just needed a break after M&M. Speaking of M&M, after rewatching the performances I feel bad about not giving Donghyuk the credit he deserves. He improved on his singing, dancing and stage presence but he was practically ignored by YG, the editing team and the fandom. I feel like Donghyuk (and Yunhyeong) would be good at varieties as well. If only YG would give him the chance. I really hope he gets opportunities to prove what he's capable of. Junhoe is recognized by the fandom, M&M did wonders for Yunhyeong but Donghyuk doesn't have any of that. I just want members aside from Double B to at least be given a chance but this is YG, so yeah.

I always end up writing essays when I don't lurk so I just stay away lol. Thank you for keeping this thread alive in the darkest times by the way

Ugh, why is YG letting the hype die? They should've debuted by now. I feel like we're in for a much longer wait.

Abnormal Summit [Ep.38+45] & My Friend's Home [Ep.8] Official Thread

Most people were willing to give Enes the benefit of the doubt though. It seems like the rumors were true but he still could have tried to get out of this (not saying that's what he should have done) but he just up and leaves without saying anything? This looks like the behaviour of someone who committed murder, not adultery. I'm just confused and disappointed right now. This show is cursed.- 1,833 replies

I've gotten used to Hanbin receiving unwarranted hate and I think it shouldn't affect the way YG promotes him. He shouldn't have to hide just to please some petty people. Their reasons for hating him are so ridiculous, what makes you think that they'll suddenly stop and become reasonable even if Hanbin stays low for a while? As for how it affects Hanbin... I hope he's gotten used to it as well because the situation isn't going to change. He's the favorite and he'll always get a lot more opportunities than others and some people will always act like that's somehow his fault. The issue with his father is a different matter but idk, I feel like we should assume he's stronger than letting stupid hateful comments get to him.

Sigh, all these scandals they're having aren't really scandals. I want YG to actually keep his word for once and debut Ikon as soon as January because it looks like there's always going to be "controversy" following the boys. No point in waiting for it to cool down when most of it isn't even their fault.
-
I agree. I expected the performance to be much worse after reading the reactions but it really wasn't. They sounded fine, they'll sound better in the upcoming days. I feel like most fans (or ex-fans) are too eager to find something wrong with the the boys. Everyone knows the final line-up wasn't ideal but come on I can't tell Chanwoo and Jinhwan apart though. Donghyuk actually sounds a lot better now and his voice has more of an airy feeling than chipmunk-y. He was very smart in changing the way he sings. The junior chipmunk title should be given to Chanwoo now.

Abnormal Summit [Ep.38+45] & My Friend's Home [Ep.8] Official Thread

Oh I wasn't talking about you. It's fine and natural to like some members more and find others off based on their on-camera personality. I was talking about how some people are making judgments about G11 in general as if they know them. I mean I have my favorite and least favorite members too but I think it's kind of shitty to give the members labels only based on what we've seen from them on the show, especially because they're regular people and not really celebrities. (Not that it's okay to be judgmental about celebrities but you know.. different circumstances) The 3 minute thing was an exaggeration on my part lol. You're right, Tyler for example always offers new perspectives and depth so even if the majority is in agreement, the discussion is interesting. Speaking of Tyler, I hate how he's become even more invisible in the recent episodes. For the rare times he talks, he either gets interrupted or made fun of by the MCs. I know they're not really making fun of him but yeah. I felt bad when he apologized for his explanation being too long.- 1,833 replies

Abnormal Summit [Ep.38+45] & My Friend's Home [Ep.8] Official Thread

That's ridiculous. Almost every member does what Enes does (sticking to their opinions, talking over and interrupting other members, sneaking in a few words etc). Idk why he's being singled out as rude. He's been getting less and less screentime anyway. I agree with you btw. Someone being honest and aggressive about defending his opinions is much more acceptable to me than being passive-aggressive and making snide remarks. That being said, I don't know why people are taking this show so seriously. We should remember that this is an edited variety show and even the most common behaviour the members show while shooting might not be a fair indication of their off-camera personalities. Both Zhang and Enes make the show more fun. It wouldn't be as fun (as it used to be anyway :/ ) if not for them. We'd just have the liberal Europeans supporting each other and the discussions would end in 3 minutes.- 1,833 replies

Abnormal Summit [Ep.38+45] & My Friend's Home [Ep.8] Official Thread

3. [+110, -67] Enes is turning really rude. Zhang Yuan also has strong opinions but at least he has innocence I know it's only one comment but now that the show is kind of losing its charm and had a controversy, I think we're going to be hearing a lot more critical views of the members. I actually expected these kind of comments about Enes much sooner, especially from international fans. I think most people only really accept a certain representation of conservatives and Zhang Yuan is a good example of that image. His Korean isn't good enough to back up his opinions, he has the "cute fail" thing going on, other members always laugh off his contribution to the discussion whereas Enes can articulate himself really well and can't quite be laughed at like Zhang Yuan. He doesn't back down against the majority on the show like he's supposed to. I'm surprised he didn't get on people's nerves sooner. I guess he can be rude at times but so can every other member except for Tyler, Takuya and Gerniel. This is what's been bothering about this show lately. The MCs and the members react to the person who's talking, not to what he's saying. In so many episodes other members expressed the same opinion as Enes but they get quite different reactions bc Enes has that conservative label while the others don't. Sam can't even say one full sentence without being ridiculed bc he's supposed to be the goofy character. It just kills the light discussion mode the show is supposed to have. That and Seyoon has become very, very annoying. Even Hyunmoo is better now. His imitations and adlibs every other second.. just no. I guess my problem is that the show has become too Korean variety show-ish. It's a shame bc the first 10 episodes were really enjoyable and different. I guess I'll watch a few more episodes before dropping it. I wrote an essay welp- 1,833 replies

The first video you posted was the first time I was awed by a dancing performance tbh. They were always good dancers but I hadn't paid much attention to that in WIN even though it was their strongest point. They've all become better dancers, that's for sure. Hanbin is just sex in that performance. I'm getting really worried about the thing with his dad. I just know that YG antis and even some YG stans are going to have a field day bashing on the kid. I imagine he's become used to it by now but this is a more serious matter as it involves his family and it's awful that K-netz are already acting like a kid who just turned 18 deserves to get hate for something related to his father's business. He can never catch a break. Here's cute baby Hanbin to lighten up the mood. Even the guy he featured for 5 years ago is scandalous lol: http://youtu.be/xwX8NwfMajE

Yeah, looks like It's just us two OTL. What's your favorite performance of Hanbin's? I think mine is the one at 2:41. He was really relaxed here. His flow and lyrics were good as well. BE I had more emotional impact but this one is still my favorite. http://youtu.be/4vIJxyl68RU Also, I saw on twitter that Hanbin's dad was being accused of embezzlement. It has nothing to do with Hanbin but you know people will be hating anyway. I hope it doesn't get blown out of proportion.
