This is the whole poll, in case people are curious: According to Twitter zeroses: Hanbin: Gay Jiwoong: "Somewhere in between" Hao: VERY gay (I respect the 5% of people who voted straight tho... own those gf delusions) Matthew: Straight Taerae: Gay Ricky: Straight Gyuvin: Straight Gunwook: Straight (Yujin isn't included b/c minor) Overall I agree with them, except maybe Ricky. Interesting to see they're coming around on Taerae, finally.7 points

the context to this was jimin mocking the way the fans said it, and he lightheartedly said he was gonna teach them conversation skills, meaning this was all in jest. he was moving something light, and the fans were teasingly calling him manly for it, and jimin was like "if youre gonna compliment someone dont say it with a laugh" which is a fair point. this wasnt him denouncing his desire to ever be perceived as masculine, if anything, he was asking fans to say it sincerely rather than as a joke (which could be perceived as demeaning even if it was fans poking fun) https://x.com/DoodlesbySubs/status/1719132228909748504?s=206 points

I was just about to post this here, like this is crazy to me, not only is this an openly queer artist, specifically known for being lesbian but the literal song name refrences gay relationships, and he posted it on his main account too. If you look at this with the context of all the stuff he‘s been saying, posting etc., he‘s tryna say something…3 points

I don't think you skewed Jiwoong's vote with your one miss vote lol. From the comments in this thread his numbers seem about right. Hanbin votes are only sightly less gay than Hao, 78% vs 93%, imo Hao is so obviously gay close to Key or Sunoo levels of certainty that Hanbin seems less sus in comparison. And I agree Hanbin's gf stans are surprisingly sizeable lol. Just curious what would have been your vote for Jiwoong and did you happen to see any more of the results for the other members? I assume Gunwook and Gyuvin would have scored high on the straight meter but I have no idea what zeroses think about Matthew or Ricky or Taerae lately.3 points

i voted on the poll but accidentally clicked the gay option for jiwoong when i didn't mean to so i may have skewed the results a tiny bit (although there are lots of votes so maybe it doesn't really matter). i found it funny yet really unsurprising that hao's votes were majority in the gay option. hanbin being more divisive also makes sense to me because he's definitely toned down his "behaviour" so to speak (not so much personality wise since we don't know if he was more flamboyant in terms of personality predebut, although anecdotes say that he's basically the same in terms of kindness if that counts to anyone here, but in the sense that he hasn't done waacking since his battle with lip j in the first episode of boys planet and even that seemed like a "manlier" version than what he'd do predebut between 2017-2020, which i've also just realised is right before he became a trainee so i wonder if that has anything to do with it like he was told by cube to chill out a bit which is sad if there's any truth to it - though this is all speculation on my part so maybe there's not), but i'm actually surprised he's still got a majority gay vote considering he has lots of girlfriend stans lmao3 points

I saw this poll/tweet on my tl and thought of our discussions about Zb1. Even within the zb1 fandom the hyung line is so queer coded that they don't dispute it. It's funny how Haobin always score high on the gaydar meter but Jiwoong falls somewhere in the middle.3 points

if you watch the full thing in the top one, on the radio show, it was a similar situation. fans were jokingly calling him that because of how he drinks soju and he shyly was like "no no", in the same way he had been doing all night in response to the host and fans making comments and complimenting him. im not saying jimin cant be feminine, or has never been feminine, but these arent very valid receipts imo and twitter is using them as if theyre proof he somehow is against ever being called manly lol, its just very reductive to me3 points

All ik is that he liked an instagram post that said "bottoms do it better" a bunch of years ago or something along the lines of that. idk about anything else3 points

There has been TONS of questionable outfits in Kpop. So, my question today is what was some of the worst/ugliest/most questionable clothes your faves have ever worn? I’m going to start off with Red Velvet’s entire Zimzalabim comeback styling because what even was this?2 points

for jiwoong i probably would've done either straight or in between, i'm actually not sure. i don't get when people bring up his bl work, ie the making out, solely as proof as that's acting. of course he's gonna kiss the dude, that's what was in the job description and what he was paid to do. many actors who take up gay roles are straight so i could see him as straight but supportive. but, at the same time, he was also really chill about the whole thing when asked about it on boys planet. he also didn't make it out to be some big deal in this reaction video he did, with who i think was an actress from another series of his, when asked about what that experience was like and if it was different to other series. plus, his interactions with seobin outside the drama were a bit but it might be a case of fan service, as bl actors tend to do so i hear (i don't watch bl, i've only seen one of jiwoong's). i did see the other results and i agree with them, although maybe not taerae who has the majority gay vote as i feel like he could be anything2 points

Taemin who's known to be one of Jimin's closest friends gets closer to SUGA on his show. Taemin compares working in a group and as a soloist, lists Shinee's most iconic moments on stage, talks about pursuing a genderless concept and wanting to surprise his fans with each release. Jimin also appears in the second half where he talks about admiring Taemin, things they have in common and performing together back in 2016, while SUGA swears he will become closer to Taemin than Jimin is now. Now seniors in the industry admit that they reminiscence about "the old days" more and more.2 points

Kevin from the Boyz. That boy is chronically online and I’ve literally seen kevin fan accounts tweet random stuff or make a TikTok about him and he’ll nonchalantly just reference it in his bubble account the next day. If you mention his name online someway somehow he will find it and I can honestly bet $5 he’s been on this site before. *edit*1 point

Taemin guested on SUGA's Suchwita. Jimin also appears in the second half of the show. It was a really funny episode. Some spoilers under.1 point

tbh I think his acting isn't the issue but instead the roles he is given. The characters he often plays have the emotions of a stone and aren't well writen. But he also has acted in a drama where he was silly and funny, I really liked him in that and it showed his versatile skills more in my opinion. To stay on topic, he's stunning and this whole photoshoot is gorgeous1 point

people clowning when there's someone suggesting that an idol might be bisexual is so like it's time to admit that most famous people are bi and it's not unrealistic to think that way..1 point

I think they raised their hands because Jiwoo is a girl and BM and J. Seph are guys. It was more like "I'm the girls and guys that you guys have crush's on" at least that's how I read it. Not saying they cant be bi but I wouldnt read too much into it. Personally BM has allways seemed straight to me and I'm not sure about J. Seph1 point

For a conversative country this kind of visibility is— maybe not baby steps, but maybe crawling in the right direction, maybe... hopefully. Media influences people's perception of reality, so positive (meaning not directly homophobic) depictions of gay people, even if its flawed, is at least better than nothing imo1 point

this taemin comeback has really got everyone fighting. first armys now lyons. because of libido.. a lot of lyon and shawols are squabbling over how ooo were treated with that concept vs taemin doing it etc. ren’s born this way tattoo is also the same as jo kwon’s key also said something like there’s many others like me in the industry like ren obv he could be talking about personality too and stuff but just something i remember1 point

I believe that BoA is bi but these particular messages aren't evidence of anything since this is just Jessi insulting her (for context: these messages are from '05 when people were still throwing around the word gay as an insult).1 point
