About Sana, it's not just that she was flirting with this guy, she also emphasized that her ideal type are manly men and talked about how she was happy to finally show her real self. Implying that all those years of flirting with women were her playing a character. Anyway, I kind of always had the feeling she was just a straight girl using queer fangirls to her benefit and I don't even blame her for that tbh, competition is fierce in the industry. And while I agree that queerbaiting as a concept can't be applied to real people, it's very much a fact that certain idols do a lot more fanservice than the norm. And by that, I mean suggestive fanservice with their bandmates or their fans of the same-sex that most of the other idols don't do. I don't think LGBT fans should be vilified for feeling disappointed over those idols being so vastly different from their personas and unstanning them. After all Sana isn't going to lose sleep over sapphic fangirls dropping her.12 points

Y'all ain't hear this from me, but last week I saw a video of a Korean gay guy living in SK basically saying that a lot of the "Idols popular among Korean gay/lesbians" list have "some hidden truths" (his words not mine). Basically, he was saying that some of the actors and idols that are popular among gay men are very involved in the gay scene in Korea. He also said that it's the same for female idols/actors as well. He said that this isn't the case for all of them and that other celebrity men are just ideal types among gay Korean men ( Taeceyeon for example). As we know J0 Kwon, Key, and Seungkwan never make these lists, but we can assume that they're lgbt. Mingyu, DO, Jaehyun, Eunwoo, Gong Yoo, and Moobin have been on these lists for YEARS. I think that it's very interesting. He deleted the video, though.10 points

An unpopular opinion of mine is that there is nothing like queerbaiting where kpop idols or k celebrities are involved. We do not know their sexuality truly so accusing them of queerbaiting is just off the table. Especially when the general public or k netizens or homophobic fans exist. I remember when heartstopper twt literally forced one of the main characters to come out because he was accused of "queerbaiting". Being an idol is a job and in this economy and capitalist society, not many people would appreciate losing their jobs because of their sexuality. I also don't think fans should be accusing an actual human being of being a queerbait(er?) regardless.9 points

Regarding the 97 line, I feel that K-pop fans have created an image of them where they're these frat dude bros that sleep around with more women than they have fingers and toes. Eunw00, possibly being bi doesn't shock me. Like Jaehyun, he's an enigma. He is very strategic about what he wants to know about him. He and Jaehyun are both extremely private. Hell, I won't be shocked if M1ngyu has hooked up with men or may have an interest in them. K-pop fans think if a male idol isn't feminine they can't be lgbt lol.7 points

Is it just me or does wonyoung look really different here? Something about her nose + eyes just seems off from how she usually looks. Her face is super puffy as well, i wish she would ease up on the fillers (and the highlighter on the nose is not flattering idk why they were so heavy handed with it)5 points

In this video it explain why Yoo Ah In got so much hate and it was partially bc he was publicly being a feminist, was exempt from military service and hang out with people suspected of being lgbt4 points

Can you give more receipts about why you think jeno and renjun had something ? I'm curious now lol Other NCT members that i suspect had something going on ( again... Suspect, these are not facts, Just my assumptions) Taeyong/jaehyun, jaehyun/doyoung, Johnny/ten Jaehyun/doyoung Taeil literally said this about them ( jaehyun also seems to have a big crush on doyoung's brother lol ) taeyong/jaehyun This whole vampire house episode lol Haechan saying: "jaehyun and taeyong, i'm excited for this match"... And then the look that he and doyoung give to eachother like If they know something + the other members ( like Johnny and Yuta ) Sus reactions.... Both jaehyun and taeyong extremely awkawardness and nervousness 11:13 time stamp Johnny/ten ( I couldn't find the video, sorry ) Ten writing "i wanna have xxx with you fatass " to Johnny on his birthday Johnny saying that he and ten Ten took a shower together and then ten's giggles3 points

Yes... and also idols in general can not have any interaction with someone of the oposite sex without their fandoms getting WILD lol This also applies to female idols... Today a video of sana flirting with a man started to go viral on twitter ( some fans are very extreme lol ) and they were losing their minds "i thought sana was a lesbian, she's a queerbaitor" and all this stuff, they didn't even considered the possibility of her being bi lol2 points

As the title says, what are some of your favorite comebacks by some of your favorite groups/soloists? Throwing in a few of my favorites: For Red Velvet I’d say it’s a tie between Psycho and Peek A Boo. I feel like everyone’s hair slayed in the peekaboo comeback and the rainbow outfits will always be memorable to me: Like A Cat will always be my favorite for AOA. I love the cat woman concept and I’m low-key surprised no other Kpop group has ever done a cat women concept as well? (I think only Sunmi?) And I very often think about how Bestie dropped this total banger of a comeback then completely disappeared off the face of the earth1 point

KBS2's "Good Girl" will premiere on October 27 at 10 p.m. KST. J.Y. Park New Girl Group To Be Comprised of Legendary Vocal Divas in Their 50s — Here Are Members According to the report, Korea's top solo vocalists: In Sooni, Park Mi Kyung, Shin Hyo Bum, and Lee Eun Mi will join to re-debut in a four-member girl group. All four of them are known as "nation's vocalists" with an average of 38 years of experience. In Sooni (66), the oldest sister, is a veteran of 45 years since her debut. She worked in one of the earliest girl groups in history, The Hee Sisters, in 1978. With this, she is expected to have strong leadership and experience. "The original dancing diva" Park Mi Kyung (57) and "Korea's Whitney Houston" Shin Hyo Bum (57), who are close friends of the same age, are also drawing attention for their tiki-taka chemistry. Lee Eun Mi, also known as the "barefoot diva" and self-proclaimed master of singing skills with 32 years of experience, will play the maknae role of the group. The exquisite chemistry and high wall quality of the four unique divas are expected to soar. KBS2's "Golden Girls" production team said: On the other hand, there is also a high interest in Park Jin Young, who will produce them. He is the head of JYP Entertainment and the top producer of K-pop, which produced Korea's leading girl groups, such as Wonder Girls, Miss A, Twice, ITZY, and NMIX. However, in this project, he goes back to being an artist, not the head. Attention is focused on what kind of chemistry he, who is usually famous for his perfectionism, will show with the "Golden Girls" and show synergy. The members (sans JYP) Kpopstarz & Naver1 point

Probably got some things done ahead of the comeback. I feel like she’s had too much done at her age. Then again, she does look gorgeous and truly is an it girl. I admire her beauty a lot.1 point

This is actually what gave me the idea for this question!!! There were a bunch of Deobi’s online asking what everyone’s favorite comeback was and arguing that anything other than The Reveal was wrong and like… the reveal isn’t mine Personally I’m with you, my favorite comeback from them is The Stealer. Love Options and Excuse Me are tied for me for being my favorite Bestie song, but comeback wise I do kinda like Excuse Me more because it’s kinda sassy. I miss Bestie, I wish we could have had more time and more bops like these with them1 point

Can any hardcore SNSD fans explain to me what about them attracted so many fangirls? Could you rank the members from who has the most fangirls to the least fangirls? I don't think I've ever seen a girl group bring the girls out like they did.1 point

You could tell, even in her brief non-speaking role as the girl Taemin and Minho (mostly Taemin, lol) were fighting over in Shinee's Tell Me What To Do, that she's got some edginess to her. Her career is going great though and I'm glad some people are supporting her personal choices.1 point

I remember that when I first got into NCT I very much disagreed with this list, but now I guess I agree for the most part haha Taeyong is also more bi/pan in my opinion, and I totally agree with the poster that Johnny is either pansexual or straight but the chances of him being straight are higher, so I deem him as straight (we do know he's dated women and I agree he and Ten were suspicious at SM Rookie days, but it's veery possible it was a one sided crush by Ten). Jaehyun is bi, Winwin is indeed as straight as a ruler, but so is Chenle. I don't blame for thinking he's gay because this was written in early's 2020 and Chenle had just started being more outspoken during that time. Jisung is the possibly the straighest member alongside Kun. Xiaojun I do agree is bisexual, but I'm not sure why I get the sense he isn't very comfortable with it. I can't say much about the other 127 and WayV members though because I haven't kept up with them for a long time. Mark is very much straight. Jeno, I have to disagree. Ever since day 1 when I got to know him and didn't even like him I thought he's queer. Renjun is bisexual or gay. But I agree so much with the post, Renjun is hard to decipher because he doesn't show his true self. He's affectionate and lovely yes but he's constantly toning down his actions and he doesn't like being perceived by the fans. But since he's my ultimate bias and I've watched so many of videos of him, I do feel like you can sometimes see beyond the facade. I'd probably switch Haechan - bisexual to straight and Jaemin - straight to bisexual, though. It's very tricky because I did use to think Haechan was at least bi... but I don't see that energy in him anymore. Is he hiding it? Was he too young before and thus playful with other men? Idk man, but to me he's straight. I think I've said this before here, but I do believe Jeno and Renjun had something romantic going on between 2018-2020. I compiled a post about them to post here but never did xd1 point

Usually I don't think much about idols with pride flags because they're thrown at the stage and they end up picking it up for a few secs but this... Ningning was the one to go for the flag and she seems to hesitate for a split second if she should really do it, it's very telling. She also had the right side up, could be a coincidence or luck but I used to think all Aespa members were straight but maybe not so much anymore... after the stuff with her model masc friend and now this. Didn't Ning also like the sapphic couple from that k-drama that got famous?1 point

Pretty much all the names in the top 20 were expected. It's impressive how quickly Yujin became the favorite for 4th gen but she's really that attractive. By the way people were speculating on the other thread which male idols often receive confessions from other same-sex idols and for 4th gen girlies, Yujin, Karina and Ryujin definitely must be the ones who get the most attention from LGBT female idols.1 point

People are joking right? Jisoo's heteronornative comments prove she is straight. Never understood why people thought otherwise, aside from wishful thinking. No lesbian or bi girl would make such comments about men and women not being friends. She has said heteronornative stuff before, so I'm disappointed not surprised she would make a statement that ignores LGBT peeps. People in this thread need to learn to give up on certain idols lol. Lisa on the other hand... I wish I could find the live where Lisa said something about a girl and Jisoo was like "but you are both girls". Not saying she is homophobic but straight for sure.1 point

Maybe it was just this user? idk cause I was there from their debut till 2019/2020 and I'm pretty sure of myself on this. There was a lot of "xxx is gay for Jeonghan" / "that's gay" memes about his most fanservice-y moments, but there weren't talks of him actually being LGBT. Some people genuinely thought that Seungcheol was bi/bicurious because they were sure that he was attracted to Jeonghan, but most were unsure about Jeonghan whether on forums, twitter or tumblr (to be fair I didn't consume much fandom culture on youtube, only the groups' content). Well, it's just an anecdote that I mentioned in passing, it doesn't mean much. Jhope was definitely the first and most discussed member in 2013 and he stayed labeled as the "obvious gay one" for some time, so he sure was more talked about than Scoups But I get your point. Like I said, those are just examples that came on top of my mind. My point was just that the older groups get, the lesser their sexuality is questioned and scrutinized like it is in their first years, and I think it's because most shippers learn to move on at some point (with maybe the exception of BTS but they keep gaining new fans who have to go through the whole process and a debate could be held on whether members and HYBE entertain their fantasies).1 point

Jimin and Sungwoon getting jikookers pressed enough to come out of the dark, their power also this is hilarious, after some said that Jimin's outing with that Saeon guy was "more sus" than his friendship with Sungwoon when he's just another one of the long list of Sungwoon's friends who became Jimin's as well:1 point

I think Yoo Ah In’s thing was more his drug scandal, though we will see what his future holds. People here talk about his sexuality a lot, though I’m not sure how many people who aren’t online a lot would be aware of what is said about him. That said, I will be more surprised when a decently popular actor comes out than even and idol. When you think of it though, actors don’t have the rabid fans some idols have, and generally don’t have to interact on social media as much. Thus I wonder how many actors do have secret relationships and just no one is aware. Must be exhausting though. Does reminds me, some other actors that get mentioned here are Song Joongki and Park Bogum.0 points

I remember that this was discussed a few years back on this thread. This is such a weird reasoning, not only because Mark has never shown himself to be homophobic but especially because Haechan is a practicing christian too. As for the rest of the analysis, no offense but I personally feel it was done superficially for certain members, like by using ships, skinship, fanservice, etc. In particular with Haechan who they write down as LGBT only because of the way he teases the other guys. But that's Haechan in his "idol mode". He's a different person when he tones that down and he must be even more different in his private life (he actually talked about the differences between Haechan/Lee Donghyuck in a recent documentary and said that as Lee Donghyuck he wants to have a wife and kids). I also disagree on Taeil, Hendery and Chenle being bi, imo they're just straight. And like said above, I also think Taeyong isn't gay. On another hand, members like Renjun and Jaemin are written down as straight and although it's strange because I myself used to believe they were straight in the past (and of course they still could be), the more time passes the more I think they maybe aren't.0 points
-
Some People in this list are just straight in my opinion.... like Bambam for example ( i've never seen any hints, clues or receipts about him not being straight ) And also Jimin and j Hope in the straight list is Just so funny because they're the ones ( along with suga and taehyung ) in BTS that i'm most certain about that are not straight0 points

The 97liner group chat also included Minghao, Seokmin, Yugyeom, and Bamban originally yes, but imo I think it ended up as mostly just being the aforementioned trio these days because they have a common interest of clubbing that kept them spending time together while the others were less into it. I don't follow got7 but Minghao and Seokmin aren't really the clubbing types, and the China friend group is going strong and probably pulling Minghao closer to that. The Sunoo-Ichan-Sungmin-Hojin-Etc friend group reads different because frankly they're all pretty obviously fruity and there's nothing else about them linking them together explicitly like age or even having debuted around the same time. They could all have become friends for various reasons but from an outside perspective the only through-line with them is that literally all of them are widely assumed queer. From a carat perspective, I've never been able to get behind Mingyu being queer. I honestly think he's probably got some underlying homophobic tendencies even if he's not actively homophobic or even considers himself open-minded. Mingyu does a lot of "haha, I'm doing something not stereotypically masculine" jokes that come across as very straight, because queerness is always the inherent punchline. He clearly does like getting attention from men to a degree but he's also very blatantly got a pretty big ego and I think he just likes when anyone at all feeds into it.0 points

Idols during the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen used to get plastic surgery little by little trough out their careers. This way the public couldn’t catch up on them until they were already 7 years into their careers which meant that at that point it would be a bit “ridiculous” to complain about it. This however was during a time where idols were allowed to have “awkward” visuals the first few years of their careers. Nowadays however, people expect idols to debut with the same visuals that took 1st till 3rd gen, 7 years to achieve. That’s why companies (like SM and HYBE) been giving their rookie idols all these obvious surgical enhancements. They probably also know that fans will defend these idols till death as most of these surgeries were done before debut and as most idols nowadays are underage or barely of age it could be perfectly disguised as “puberty”.0 points

the lies from the lisa stan don't be fooled they aren't jisoo biased ^ Jisoo is the most openminded member she reads lgbt and gay books and recommended a Lesbian drama wears men's clothers and says to their fans clothes has no gender does that sound homophobic? she also said she doesn't like ariel bc she sacrificed her fishtails for a man, doesn't like anna bc he fell for a guy and kicked elsa out. She never said homophobic quite the opposte. If there is any member who is straught that's lisa no way people think she is gay lol on an interview in 2017 she said she wanted to get married to a much older guy so he can take care of her and her ideal type is older actor. Imagine thinking Lisa is gay and Jisoo homophobic? some blinks have this mentality of seeing jisoo as the nice unnie or a damsel in distress lol0 points

Maybe ( just maybe ) the three of them + jaehyun are queer besties ??? They were allegedly at a gay bar in itaewon in 2020 in the pandemic right ? But then it was "proven" that It wasn't a gay bar... But MAYBE they really were in a gay bar and their companies did their best to shut down those stories... It's something That we'll never really know lol-1 points
