I don’t think there’s a definitive answer. Troye Sivan was/is very popular in korea, blue neighbourhood in particular had a lot of success there and I believe there’s a lot of koreans that casually listen to his music without knowing that he is gay. There’s a lot of idols who like Troye, if they talk about his music videos or talk about him often I usually at least think they’re an ally. I do know several straight guys who enjoy Troye’s music. Of course listening/talking abt Troye could be an indicator that the idol is gay, or it could not be. The same thing goes with the whole bisexual lightning thing. Maybe they’re trying to hint at their sexuality, or they just chose a pretty colour combination (that is also very common). Listening to Troye or using bisexual lightning is usually not enough for me to draw any conclusions about an idol.4 points

In regards to Jungkook, like most things posted on this thread, it could mean absolutely nothing but it could just as much mean something. There’s enough reason to argue either way. To be fair, many people in the West don’t know it’s bi visibility week. Even bi people may not necessarily know. But, that doesn’t mean no one outside the West knows, despite it originating from American organizations. I’ve found users in Asia who are more aware of LGBTQA+ events in the West than people living here, and vice versa. This reminds me of the debates this thread sometimes gets into with Rainbow symbols. On one hand, people argue people just like the colors and it can’t mean anything, while others are convinced it’s a subtle way of coming out, and reality is likely somewhere in between. A lot of colors and symbols queer organizations use are recognized globally by those same communities, like how Seoul and Tokyo Pride use similar symbols to Western Pride marches. Someone in the general population may not put much regard into a rainbow or bi colors, but someone part of the community will more likely know what that means.3 points

I partly agree with you. For one, color schemes having meaning in this thread have always been a sensitive and controversial topic, no sensible discussion ever comes about when someone starts bringing up bi flag colors, rainbows etc. having a special meaning. my guess why it is quite unpopular to bring up Jungkook specifically on this thread is because he is at the center of two massive ships and some people try to use the ships to ''prove'' that he is queer. Which feels, ingenuine. Most people box all Jungkook's actions that could be seen queer, as being Gen Z. I think if you combine the topic of Jungkook with the vagueness of flags and perhaps the Bi-visibilty week (which I also think is a rather western-centric thing, though I could be wrong) then you get quite a negative reaction. I do agree with you on the part that bts gets unnecessarily disliked on here, there's times I have noticed people seem annoyed when they get brought up.2 points

I don't think it's about BTS being disliked in the thread because the reactions are mostly positive when the posts are about Jimin and Suga and they used to be positive about V too. It's more about what you pointed out in your second paragraph. Like I genuinely never saw anyone thinking Jungkook is anything but straight unless they're a hidden Jikooker or Vkooker. You can't blame people for being annoyed at the Jungkook posts when the "evidence" is random stuff like color lighting or interactions with his bandmates that are overanalyzed by delusional shippers. Meanwhile the guy is out here being the only BTS member who had a serious dating rumor with a woman before the V/Jennie leaks and the only one who chose to explicitly have a female love interest in his solo debut MV. Not necesserely. Troye Sivan's music is actually quite popular in Korea. I can only speak for the idols I follow but for me Taehyun saying that he loved the Blue Neighbourhood trilogy or Chenle and Jisung doing a cover of Youth don't mean anything more than appreciation for his songs.1 point

considering that there's decent amount of Korean Troye listeners who were absolutely freaked out by the Rush mv and every article about Sam Smith gets a 'hul..he's gay???' comment I don't think so. If they seem to be a really big fan maybe but just recommending a few songs seems par for the course for most k-idols.1 point

Finished the last few eps of LBFAD after a year, very tempted to rewatch the first half again as it was so much fun. The only reason I paused was because I didn’t want to watch the end that someone had spoiled for me but actually they freaking spoiled it in the stupidest way as the end is good. Have stopped watching MLC at ep 35, I’m not ready to let go of it Love the cast, the cases and even the angsty portions. Watched the first ep of MJTY, not sure how I feel about it yet.1 point

Tea, Margoddess delivered. Barbenheimer did NOT disappoint Interesting, i don't remember saying that but i'm glad it works. That does read like something I would say, though, i agree with myself. Best way to assert dominance is to make other people more anxious than you rsrsrsrs it's like when you rewind a sex scene you're watching with your parents (no i don't do this but i think the effect is similar) Summer was... meh But Fall will be 10x better, i'm going on vacation with my oldest sis on my birthday week u see What about ur summer and plans for fall? Did u go camping to a remote location with no internet again?1 point

Usually I don't think much about idols with pride flags because they're thrown at the stage and they end up picking it up for a few secs but this... Ningning was the one to go for the flag and she seems to hesitate for a split second if she should really do it, it's very telling. She also had the right side up, could be a coincidence or luck but I used to think all Aespa members were straight but maybe not so much anymore... after the stuff with her model masc friend and now this. Didn't Ning also like the sapphic couple from that k-drama that got famous?1 point

hey guys, I don't think there are a lot of old users here, but I posted a couple of posts years ago, I think maybe 5 years ago. A few days ago I found this website again, so I read a few pages before posting this today! Okay, so a few years ago I wasn't very active and I don't think I will be now but I think it's fun to see how my opinion changes over the years.I go by they/them or "iel" in french now so please be mindful about it. My English is still not that good btw ^^. Because I follow a lot of groups, it's hard to find a specific moment or any evidence for a specific member so I will not post anything more than my opinion only, no videos or tweets or things like that, sorry ! So let's get to it ( it might be long, sorry in advance) : EXO ( used to be my main ) : now I still think that Sehun is gay. I know he did that one live where he answered that question, but I don't think it's a good evidence for him being straight, I just saw it as a kind of way for him to protect himself. the fact that after all this year the only strong dating rumours that he had was either with Irene(...)or chef Suke comfort me in my opinion about him too. as for the others, I have my doubt about Suho and his best friend too. I saw that they are still very close, and his friend on insta still post cute things about Suho. So I won't be surprised that they could really be together. I do think now that Suho is bi, so I won't be surprised for any dating news. About Xiumin, I think that he is straight, but he is so private, and his "friendship"with Leo makes me doubt. I do think that Leo is gay so ... The others are straight for me. Let's stay in SM and do Shinee and NCT in Shinee, of course my opinion haven't changed, Key is gay. As for the others, sometimes Taemin makes me question myself, I do think that he may like men tho, but I can't label him. NCT : well I won't talk about Ten as it's obvious. I saw that Taeyong is a bit of a controversial topic here, but I do think that Taeyong is queer. Yuta and Jaemin are the only other members that I don't really know how to answer. I won't be surprised for any way. Hybe/ Big Hit TXT : Soobin is gay, huening kai might be bi, I can see him having interest in both male and female. The others are straights. BTS : Taehyung is gay, still have a big doubt on RM, but I'll go for straight. Jimin is also someone that I can see being attracted to both male and females, but more towards males. Suga is the big question mark. I can see him as pansexual tho. Seventeen : Still have my doubts on Wonwoo. Seungcheol is bi, Joshua is gay, Mingyu is ???? The others are straight or I don't really have an opinion about them. Enhypen : Sunoo is gay and I think he is so comfortable about it. I do think that Sunghoon is questioning himself about his sexuality, and the way he is "obsessed"with Sunoo might have something to do with it. Maybe because Sunoo is confident about his sexuality idk. As for the others, Heesung is the only one that I can have a tiny bit of doubt. The others don't have any moments that makes me go ?? So I'll say they are straight. bap : I still think that Daehyun and Youngjae are mlm stray kids and ateez : well, they kinda are my main groups now. They probably are the one that I spent a lot of time watching their shows, lives , everything. stray kids : I wrote a lot so I'll get to the point Minho: gay , felix : bi, hyunjin and jisung are the one that are difficult to read. i can see hyunjin queer, but Jisung, I don't really know how to think, I think it's mostly because of his relationship with Minho, the recent 2 kids rooms and how the members talk about them are good examples of why I can doubt about his sexuality. At the same time, I didn't see any moments of him being attracted to girls too. The thing I'm a 100% sure is that stray kids is a group that is fully supportive. ateez : ( saw them on tour in Paris and they're the best people ever ) well, Hongjoong is a walking flag, now which one is the question. San is bi leaning more towards men. wooyoung is interesting, I'll say bi but not a 100% sure about it. Seonghwa is gay. Besides Mingi, I don't have any doubts for the others members. Ateez is a group that in a few years, I won't be surprised if any of them decide to come out. Besides, having a leader like Hongjoong, or even having all of them as members of the group, I'm sure that no one is this group is hiding their sexuality. they feel like a safe place well, idols that are in my mind too : kangmin, Leo, N, sungjong, ren, jr, taeil ( block b), minhyuk ( monsta x ), seoham, jo kwon, ... actors park bogum, yoo ah in, song joongki... I may have forgot a few but that's all I can think for now. Anyway I hope you are all doing great and I apologise for any mistakes I made in english, or anything that may seems rude, it's not my intention. have a great day/ night everyone1 point

Do you Guys think that If a male idol listens to troye Sivan It can be an indicator that he's queer himself ? I haven't seen a single straight Guy that genuinely listens to troye sivan's music0 points

Coming from the same forum that says stuff like this, then posts endless Korean and Japanese gay TV dramas and newer idols making social media overtures. Honestly I don't think half of you know which way is up anymore on this thread. Are we seriously now saying absolutely nobody outside of the West has a clue about visibility, rights, connections? Is Seoul Pride just wasted on everyone here?0 points

I know some people say that "oh these colours don't mean anything, they are just known to fit well together, that's why some people use It very often" But like... We're in the bisexual visibility week ( 16 of setember until 23 of september ) and jungkook posted this tiktok yesterday It would be Just TOO MUCH of a coincidence for jungkook to post this ( he barely posts anything on his tiktok ), with the bisexual lightning in the bisexual visibility week0 points
