I really dont think they fucked up his jaw? Look at his facial width when he was young, his face was obviously slimmer and longer. Like if we’re being objective here, it’s quite literally the opposite of what SM has done to idols like Yuta. Eunseok(?)’s face is visibly wider and his jaw is way way stronger and more prominent. and i dont think he looks uncanny. He looks human to me LMAO. I think the screenshots are super awkward? Like mid-motion, obviously the face is gonna look super awkward. From what I can see on the video, he also has a strong cheekbones that shows when he smiles. i think tho that this one is just a bad joker smile case. But overall, he looks better and definitely not the level of hyunjin/yeonjun lips.

Sm is so interesting to me because I can never really tell to what extent their idols are forced to go under the knife. You have idols like Chenle who claims to not have gotten anything done and there’s idols like Kai and Haechan who probably only had a few procedures. They stand in contrast to the “sm look”. Common sense tells me that idols can just turn down requests for ps but looking at how far some idols go I just can’t buy that external pressure wasn’t a part of that. I wouldn’t put it past sm to mistreat idols who refuse ps. Chenle is currently getting zero promo and I wouldn’t be surprised if him being Chinese wasn’t the only reason.

i actually came across his predebut pics before seeing his official pics from SM, and thinking he already had a very conventionally beautiful face. like, there's probably an aspect of nepotism involved because of his famous parents, but he was handsome enough to be scouted off the streets. the fact that SM felt the need to recommend nose work even to him is wild to me. first of all, he's just what, 18 years old? and secondly, he already had beautiful facial harmony with his natural features that can easily be elevated with makeup and styling alone. why the unnecessary nose job? it just blows my mind.

Good, now break down his door, snatch his keyboard away, and throw him in jail. Seriously, I'm pleased SM is doing something about this. I hope they go as far as the law allows and make an example of this nutcase.
