  1. I said he's not gay...didn't say straight. But given his religious upbringing + being the only son of his family. I doubt he'd act seriously on any male attraction if he had the option to have a fulfilling relationship with a woman. If he knows he's gay I doubt he'd get a beard right now since as a korean celebrity he has the option to delay dating/marriage up to his 40s without issue. So either he's straight, bi but unlikely to be in serious relationships with men, or gay and so in denial that he thinks he's straight. Personally I feel the first option is the most likely but you can think whatever you want.

  2. one thing that i think we have to bear in mind is that often companies will say that idols have to get PS in order to debut. and no one wants to be the person to stop their child from achieving their dreams, so they might go along with it even if they aren't happy about it.

  4. Everyone is either on Reddit or Twitter. Some people still come to the site, but most (for one reason or another) don't feel like participating. Reddit might be the place for you if you don't want to go to AllKpop. I can't recommend Twitter to anyone. That place is a dump.

  5. There are kids in entertainment who get PS in the US too, probably in every country. And I've speculated before that if the parent isn't fine with it, they might just have the manager sign off as the "guardian" on forms. Nobody would actually check the signature unless something goes badly wrong.

  7. Yoongi with Yijeong (El Capitxn) Part 2 to add to my posts on pages 3895 and 3893 I guess.. Found a video with Yijeong's reaction: He was in charge of live mixing for the Final concerts. It's a known fact that Yoongi knew Adora and June for a long time, possibly longer than Yijeong and yet you can see that he's way closer with Yijeong. He was also the only one Yoongi introduced this way. El Capitxn was also a guest on Yoongi's Apple Music Radio and the episode is finally subbed (Yijeong enters at 7:20). What's more, Yijeong retweeted and liked a video of him & Yoongi yesterday. He liked videos of Yoongi's hands before and honestly even BTS members Yoongi is close to don't post or like photos and videos of Yoongi as much. And one more thing I've just realized: Yoongi added Dear My Friend to the setlist for the Final and it's one of two songs that were chosen by Yijeong as his favorite productions he did with Yoongi. Of course it might be coincidence too because the song was one of the most liked among K-fans so there's a chance that Yoongi heard about this. I'm sorry for editing this post once again but it had to be done

  12. It's interesting because it's not only international fans that think like that but also the korean sides are starting to doubt their company too. ( if any one wants kr receipts dm me !)

  15. Earplugs will definitely be a must. Fangirls are hella loud, even more so thatn the music itself. You will thank yourself later. Check the venue rules to see what you can take inside. Many venues do not allow bags bigger than 30cm tall and wdith, nor do they allow water or food to be brought inside. Bring some cash or card to buy something to drink. Staying hydrated is a must. You might also find something to eat, or you might want to buy some merch. Depending on your tickets, get there early, because people queue EARLY to get the best seat possible. Wear comfortable clothes. And bring some wet wipes or deodorant. It will get hot inside, and Kpop concerts are notorious for smelling not so great. Check the place for the emergency exits. Charge your phone, and take a battery bank with you if you have it. If you don't know any of your emergency contact numbers by heart, write them down and stash them in your shoe. Also, it is not required now, but I would highly encourage you to wear a mask. Covid-19 never stopped being a thing, and many people have caught it in there - including artists, leading ot some last minute attendance changes or outright cancellations. Better be safe than sorry. Other than that, have fun! People in kpop concerts are usually super friendly, and will have no issues lending a hand if needed. If you see anyone causing a ruckus, don't hesitate to get security's attention, or let other people know so that word will spread around.

  16. Earplugs aren't a must but they're definitely handy! I don't have them on all the time but sometimes the music gets super loud and the people you're next to also can scream a lot (understandably). Protecting your hearing now is definitely important for later. Ensure you stay hydrated throughout the day (it's pretty hot in Cali right now and it can get stuffy) and wear comfy shoes. I'm not sure if you're sitting or standing but either way just waiting to get inside can be tiring on your feet. Make sure you read up on the rules on what you can and can't bring inside (Kcon should have a section for that on their website). Getting there early would definitely help with the crowds. I've only ever had an issue once with the people I sat with (it was a sasaeng fan who came from Korea) and while being respectful is important, don't feel bad for being assertive and enforcing boundaries. Some people are relentless and if it keeps being a problem, definitely call for security (I was physically shoved and had a camera slammed onto the side of my head lol). Overall, have fun and stay hydrated and safe!

  21. I feel like people are already overreacting to this. It’s a little pre-release video to show off their dancing, this most likely won’t even be their concept

  22. how are they different from NCT? they look like an NCT unit what I like about SM is that they establish a separate identity for each of their groups but this is disappointing so far

  23. I really like Jisso's instrumental but her voice is kinda annoying and boring, that's why i've never included it in my playlitst. Not really a fan of on the ground sound and lalisa is repetitive and just annoys me idk why. So for me is Jennie's >>>>>>>>> the rest. Tbh it's been too long since i listened to solo but i remember repeating the shit out of that song.

  24. I’ve always wondered to what extent these idols parents know or are involved in their kids ps. I know in Korea ps is quite common where even some regular people are getting it but isn’t there a limit? In my mind I’m imagining them being okay with a finessed nose job and some eye work but when it comes to bone work I just can’t wrap my head around it. I wouldn’t be surprised if for at least some idols who are of age hide or don’t mention some of the things they get done, this goes double for international parents who don’t get to see their kids that often.

  26. they ALWAYS edit vivi until she’s barely recognizeable, her & hyunjin tend to look weirdly stiff in photo shoots but then once you see them in videos they look fine. like here they’ve been edited to the point where you can barely see hyunjins nose wouldn’t surprise me if vivi got her lips filled for the re-debut though

  30. It's been obvious Jisoo was dating for a while. Honestly, if people follow BP they would know she has never shown any interest in girls. In fact, she seems pretty conservative but not homophobic. Similar to people always suggesting Irene is gay based on nothing. That's the issue with these threads, it's so much wishful thinking. I hope a certain creepy Jisoo fan here enjoyed this news haha.

  31. I wasn't gonna post this because it's only tangentially on topic but the thread is so quiet right now that I changed my mind anyway during Enhypen's tour kickoff concert in Seoul, a male fan shouted "I LOVE YOU!" at Sunoo while he was making his closing speech. This clip from the concert livestream is interesting bc you can see Enhypen's various reactions to it. A couple of them think it's funny - Sunghoon says "oh, very brave" lmao - and a couple of them don't seem to understand what's happening. Most notable to me is Jungwon going eww/ooh and making a pushing away motion. I'm curious what he meant there since it doesn't exactly read as positive.

  33. I don't think there are any changes besides the brow shape. The jaw shape fluctuation might be easily attributed to the change of camera lens, which makes sense bc she's a YouTuber. Updating the filming equipment is a crucial part of their job

  34. my absolute favourite PS fact is that the first ever rhinoplasty was performed in 600BC in India! it was more of a nose reconstruction, but it used the same method we do today, by taking skin and tissue from the forehead and making a flap to bring down to form the nose, it's AMAZING. i first heard about it from Dr Lindsey Fitzharris on instagram, her whole account has so much cool information on the history of surgery and medicine, if anyone else is interested in that sort of thing! it can be a little graphic at times, so it may not be for everyone, but i personally find her account absolutely riveting

  35. Taking a short break from my current analysis series to post this gem of a video for everyone who is into the history of plastic surgery: Turns out fillers, nose jobs and jowl fat removal were already a thing over a hundred years ago, and not just for reconstructive but actual cosmetic purposes as well. Closed nose jobs and jowl fat removal through incisions on the inside of the mouth to reduce visible scarring are essentially still performed the same way today. And using wax as injectives kinda blew my mind.

  36. Park Hanbin also seems to be friends with Sunoo, he and Jung Hojin attended ENHYPEN's concert and cheered him on (he brought flowers for Sunoo as well!) This friend group is so interesting to me (sunoo, hojin, ichan, sungmin, park hanbin) because they're all so heavily thought of as LGBTQ+. It's a fun group and i hope they interact more v-v I can't believe how many boys planet contestants it's turned out that Sunoo is close to T - T No idea if they were all close before BP or not, or if someone from the show introduced them? Maybe Ichan (he's the one we know have been close to Sunoo for years at this point and we know that he was also close with Hojin and Sungmin on the show). I'm also really interested in hearing more about the Sunoo + Sung Hanbin interaction that happened at kcon japan. I wonder if they're friends as well?

  38. I can't believe it! (well I actually can). As someone who has been a AAA fan for as long as I've been a kpop fan, I'm really happy for him. Sometimes I did wonder about Shinji, but not as much as the other members (except Nissy) or Urata when he was part of the group. They've been in the industry since 2008 (edit: oops 2005, I just discovered them around 2008), and since after members leaving or getting pregnant, they've been doing mostly solo activities. Despite that, I'm happy the other 4 in the group still joined him on the big day!

  40. How witty of you. My points are valid and people ignoring them clearly don't want to acknowledge them. Sad how pressed people get over BTS members possibly being LGBT and how people are so quick to try and dismiss things. No point engaging with it anymore.

  41. I'm sorry to keep on about this but I truly don't understand why people think supporting your band mate performing at the world cup means something but liking loads of LGBT media (include obscure stuff, being angry at not being able to sing a love song with another man etc means nothing. It makes no sense. Also, in a perfect world, everyone would feel able to stand up for what they believe in. But we are far from that. How many people can truly say they have never remained silent on an issue they do care about because of pressure. It's so much more nuanced and complicated than Idol not saying anything or much= they don't give a shit. Last thing I will say on this topic I promise!
