Usually smile back. Cute story time. I come from a small town in my country where everybody knows each other, and if they don't, we're still a friendly bunch to each other. Everyone says hi, even random people you've never met before. I moved to the big city over 15 years ago, and we were so used to greeting everybody, that we carried on the custom with us. The place we moved to wasn't the most neighborly, and whenever we did say hi to people here, we'd get odd looks. But we did it so much that people started to say hi and smile back. Now, everybody in the neigborhood knows eachother, and we all greet and even stop to have talks with neighbors if we have time. So much better to be greeted back with a smile and a "hi!", rather than being given a wtf look, and the cold shoulder.

That was never confirmed to be truth (or fake either, as WakeOne didn't say anything). But just like Shaandenigma said above, the screenshots are very suspicious and most likely to be fake. Why?

The "evidence" was suspect because the Facebook layout in the screenshots of the alleged comments did not match up with what it should have been based on when they were said to be made. That plus the timestamps for the comments did not have the dates and just the "3h ago" thing. Either someone who knew him took screenshots at the time and sat on them to use them against him later (which is weird since he wasn't even a trainee), or someone made a fake profile and staged the whole thing (given the inconsistencies, likely).

they ALWAYS edit vivi until she’s barely recognizeable, her & hyunjin tend to look weirdly stiff in photo shoots but then once you see them in videos they look fine. like here they’ve been edited to the point where you can barely see hyunjins nose wouldn’t surprise me if vivi got her lips filled for the re-debut though

If you look on twitter there are many threads proving his innocence. Based on the evidence and the contradictions that other users pointed out I think he's most likely innocent but you can choose not to belive that if you dont want to

Girl moonsun may be used for promoting stuff and whatnot but moonbyul is absolutely 100% clearly not straight and mamamoo has been explicitly supportive of the LGBT since the very beginning. Like. It's been obvious Jisoo was dating for a while. Honestly, if people follow BP they would know she has never shown any interest in girls. In fact, she seems pretty conservative but not homophobic. Anyway, here's Kai! Kai is yet another case who seems to have opted for the classic eyes and nose combo. With him as well predebut doesn't equate pre-surgery, as there are multiple predebut pictures of him during his trainee days where he already had work done. Let's get into it! The first thing that stood out it my were his eyes. Granted, he was probably only in middle school in the first photo but nevertheless we can tell that he used to have a lot of fat/extra tissue around his eyes. While some of that may have disappeared with age, I believe he's had both an upper and lower blepharoplasty to help with that. In addition to that he seems to have touched up his double eyelids as well to make them more defined and even. Finally his epicanthic fold seems far less prominent, indicating an epicanthoplasty. Kai had some work done on his nose as well. I admittedly cropped the second picture weirdly but you should still be able to tell that both his nose bridge and tip look more defined and narrower. I believe he's had both a rhinoplasty and a tip plasty to to make his nose more shapely. He most definitely does not have an implant: Kai's nose bridge is naturally rather bumpy, which is why we can pretty much rule out an implant. Instead he seems to occasionally opt for fillers to make it smoother. While this caused a near calamity in 2016, the last pic from 2019 shows his nose looking slightly bumpier again, indicating that the change was only due to temporary fillers which he seems to make use of every once in a while. Here's the summary of his procedures: 1. Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty 2. Double Eyelid Surgery 3. Epicanthoplasty 4. Rhinoplasty 5. Tip Plasty 6. Funny how we're once again talking about the lack of subtle plastic surgery in new SM groups considering the next member I'm analyzing is Chanyeol, master of subtle and natural looking procedures! Chanyeol has always been famed for his visuals, so much like Suho his face only needed very subtle tweaks here and there before he was ready to debut. Speaking of debut, Chanyeol already appeared in various media during his time as a trainee, meaning that for him as well predebut does not necessarily mean pre surgery. While Chanyeol never had particularly small eyes to begin with, his post-debut eyes are, well, huge. The above picture is too low quality to tell, but he did in fact already have double eyelids predebut, which have been deepened and heightened for his debut. On top of that I believe he's had two epicanthoplasties to his inner and outer corners, respectively. Another possibility that I'm not quite sure about is a lower blepharoplasty. I feel like the white of his eyes is much more exposed in the lower part, but that could also be due to cutting his outer corners. Interestingly enough his eyes are still slightly uneven (I believe the second pic is mirrored, sorry), which makes his procedures look a bit more natural. Finding good quality pictures of his before nose in profile was near impossible so I hope this will do. I believe Chanyeol had a sublte tip plasty; if you look closely his nose tip used to point downwards, whereas in the after picture it is ever so slightly upturned. Leaving the bump as is and not shaving it down or, god forbid, add an implant was a genius move in my opinion. It looks much more natural this way. Truly a blink-and-you'll-miss-it type of nose job. That's it for surgical changes I could pinpoint, however there is one more thing I am not sure about. I personally believe Chanyeol has veneers, but I have no way to verify this since it was impossible to find predebut pictures where he is smiling with his teeth showing. At least his incisors look kinda different from the rest of his teeth for me but I have no idea: What do you guys think? And if you have better pictures of his smile please do post them, I just kinda winged this because I don't have time to go looking for pictures of his smile right now lol. Here are my findings summed up: 1. Double Eyelids deepened 2. Epicanthoplasty, inner and outer 3. Possible Lower Blepharoplasty 4. Tip Plasty 5. Possible Veneers 6. Possible fillers And that's it for Chanyeol! I like that he didn't go overboard (although his eyes do look huge sometimes) and opted for an overall rather natural look and subtle enhancements. Next member will be Kai, possibly even today!

I went to check out SM's new boy group, and I know SM hasn't been subtle with their surgical enhancements for a while now but man... SM idols used to have incredible glow ups due to very small, but effective changes to their look. Where did that subtlety go? Also: me when I lie

I wasn't gonna post this because it's only tangentially on topic but the thread is so quiet right now that I changed my mind anyway during Enhypen's tour kickoff concert in Seoul, a male fan shouted "I LOVE YOU!" at Sunoo while he was making his closing speech. This clip from the concert livestream is interesting bc you can see Enhypen's various reactions to it. A couple of them think it's funny - Sunghoon says "oh, very brave" lmao - and a couple of them don't seem to understand what's happening. Most notable to me is Jungwon going eww/ooh and making a pushing away motion. I'm curious what he meant there since it doesn't exactly read as positive.

Idols during the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen used to get plastic surgery little by little trough out their careers. This way the public couldn’t catch up on them until they were already 7 years into their careers which meant that at that point it would be a bit “ridiculous” to complain about it. This however was during a time where idols were allowed to have “awkward” visuals the first few years of their careers. Nowadays however, people expect idols to debut with the same visuals that took 1st till 3rd gen, 7 years to achieve. That’s why companies (like SM and HYBE) been giving their rookie idols all these obvious surgical enhancements. They probably also know that fans will defend these idols till death as most of these surgeries were done before debut and as most idols nowadays are underage or barely of age it could be perfectly disguised as “puberty”.

I don't think there are any changes besides the brow shape. The jaw shape fluctuation might be easily attributed to the change of camera lens, which makes sense bc she's a YouTuber. Updating the filming equipment is a crucial part of their job

my absolute favourite PS fact is that the first ever rhinoplasty was performed in 600BC in India! it was more of a nose reconstruction, but it used the same method we do today, by taking skin and tissue from the forehead and making a flap to bring down to form the nose, it's AMAZING. i first heard about it from Dr Lindsey Fitzharris on instagram, her whole account has so much cool information on the history of surgery and medicine, if anyone else is interested in that sort of thing! it can be a little graphic at times, so it may not be for everyone, but i personally find her account absolutely riveting

Taking a short break from my current analysis series to post this gem of a video for everyone who is into the history of plastic surgery: Turns out fillers, nose jobs and jowl fat removal were already a thing over a hundred years ago, and not just for reconstructive but actual cosmetic purposes as well. Closed nose jobs and jowl fat removal through incisions on the inside of the mouth to reduce visible scarring are essentially still performed the same way today. And using wax as injectives kinda blew my mind.

Even just a year or two ago, swathes of people were insisting he was becoming more manly or more "boyfriend-coded," with an intensity that kinda felt like denial. Now if you check Tiktok comments or qrts about him, it's nothing* but babygirl/slay/goddess/mother/cuntress/girlypop/etc (which is iffy in a different way). I'm curious whether it's the same people and they finally accepted reality let go of the manly man rhetoric, or whether Enhypen's growing popularity has introduced new fans who never bought into the manly man rhetoric in the first place. Even Belift seems to have backed off on that a little, thank god. *ok there are still some boyfriend stans but they're a much smaller contingent than they used to be.

Basically the dude was born handsome, but yeah he also doesn’t strikes me as one to use much fillers( suho and sehun strike me as the ones who use it a lot, I don’t judge cause if I had money same)in fact sometimes when the photos are unedited I can see his expression lines, wrinkles( like the normal ones that you start to get at his age), I also think, maybe I’m just wrong/have bad eyes but oh well, that there are places where I can see he lost fat/volume because of natural aging, but I don’t think that’s ugly actually it’s kinda endearing and really beautiful, even comforting, it’s nice to see someone on the public eye being okay with all that, I know I wouldn’t be so I’m kinda jealous.

i feel like with hobi there are so many moments that most people wouldn't really pick up on if they werent lgbt themselves. imo hes one of the members who i think are most likely to be somewhat lgbt, especially with how involved (or informed i guess?) he is with queer culture. what kind of solidified this for me was when he was performing equal sign at lollapalooza and had the colours of the bi flag on the screen behind him and considering he was singing about equality this feels very intentional to me. but then again it could just be the colours they chose and it has nothing to do with the bi flag lol but idk i would love to see a thread about all these moments as well!!

NewJeans' music really is a 4th gen revamp of late F(x) music. MHJ isn't challenging herself with them at all, she just went back to the same European producers and songwriters of the "Red Light" and "4 Walls" albums and then slapped on a Y2K filter to pretend it's different. But it goes without saying that it means their songs are very nice and pleasant to the ears.

It's pretty well known that the man has issues. He's been struggling mentally for a while now and even almost overdosed. I think people were confused as to why he wouldn't be more of a ladies man since he's the most attractive member of BB, which was hugely successful for years, but he has body issues (he used to be overweight and still is "very shy") and seems pretty sensitive in general - not meant for the celebrity lifestyle. He has talked about this in the past. I don't think that necessarily means that he is gay. I can't recall him visibly being interested in men over women. The only suspicious thing, as you already pointed out, is who he hangs out with. But he did date that mess Han Seohee and there were other rumors, so who knows. He strikes me as one of the three: very repressed gay (most unlikely to me), asexual, or with deep seated issues that affect his sexual/romantic life but straight (this is most likely to me).

Feminism has hardly gone through Korean society as it has in other cultures. The fact that some men feel victim to feminism in Korea boggles my mind. I guess because they're so strict in their social structure, a little change can really scare people. I think things will get worse before they get better, but Korea is overdue for some form of social revolution. Despite all the economic growth, there hasn't been much social change in the past few decades. It's not even just about LGBTQ issues. Even though these issues are all separate: school structures, gender roles, economic growth, LGBTQ issues, mental health, family structure based on Confucius values etc, they are also all tied together.
