wonyoung's before after side by side comparison is kinda crazy. i hate when others say that because an idol is young, its impossible for them to undergo surgery.... even leeseo the 14-15yo has gotten some tweaks (though she was always pretty): im gonna say she got her inner and outer corners of her eyes cut, double eyelid deepening, nose implant, lip filler, cheek filler, botox to the mouth area, and either she got a mini v-line jaw procedure or like botox to the jaw cuz it looks completely different. i think she's happy with the results and she knows she's pretty.9 points

Not the first time i say this but every time i see side by side comparison of Karina i'm amazed how big the change from debut era is! But tbh she looks good, i just hope she stops here. Like i feel like in aespa there is always something little bit different in one of the members. You mentioned sm taeyeon face treatment and i hope it wont keep going to that route in anyone of the members. I was just thinking how much better Dara has aged compared to Taeyeon even though Dara is older. Random comparison but since she was having comeback thought about it. Taeyeon surgeries age her even if people say she looks like a teen etc. but without those SM filters she looks older than some of her same age peers. (absolutely nothing wrong with that though!)6 points

Do they understand that Kwanghee is the CATALYST behind whatever success it was that ZE:A gained? Kwanghee wasn't a talented singer, dancer, nor rapper but one thing that man was talented in was VARIETY and HOSTING. EVERY SINGLE CHANCE Kwanghee got he PROMOTED THE FUCK out of ZE:A I remember I believe it was a STAR KING episode where he pleaded with people to give his group a chance and an opportunity.. ON HIS PERSONAL GIG ZE:A came out and did a bit of a performance... Ya'll expected a man who went SO HARD for his members... WHO OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET would FEED his ex-members when they had NOTHING!! To see people he genuinely cared about suffering? I would be more shocked if he did. Persons like Kwanghee deserve ALL his success AND MORE... it's HARD to find GENUINE people. The fact this story came out of the ex-member's mouth OF HIS OWN ACCORD and not Kwanghee's continues to show the type of persons KWANGHEE is too.. idc I said it years ago and I'll say it now again. I respect Kwanghee, 10000%. From that SOLO gig where he did what he had to do to promote his group? He already had my respect..5 points

That's crazy, i never realized how much she had gotten done over the years but there's such a stark difference5 points

No, it did not. And neither did her eyes Also lip filler but are we even surprised at this point?4 points

karina's boobs hang very low, something implants don't do, and saying most asians are small chested is such a stereotype. my parents are african yet where are my ass and tits? exactly. did she get the sm taeyeon face treatment? absolutely!4 points

The bottom side-by-side pictures especially show the difference. If you cover the top half of her face (if you're on mobile, simply scroll the page so it's covered), the lower half of her mouth looks like two different people's. It's quite stark. In the first side-by-side, her face looks kind of... taut in the right one, almost like it was pulled or stretched back. Is it just a lot of Botox (plus filler?) that creates that effect? Sidetracking a bit; I remember the first time I saw an idol's face (j-hope, pics below) looking very tight, I didn't really know much about plastic surgery back then and I just kept thinking "Why does he look so weird? What happened? Why is his face pulled like that?? Why is no one talking about this??" lol2 points

Just phone variety. Part of the fun was figuring out how your friend's phone worked or when you got a new phone and what the new interface was like. But the thing I miss most is cellphone charms. Those were so cute.2 points

Doing my part to revive this thread, since I used to be quite active for a bit but then keeping up with most groups became too tiresome: Does anyone else think that the Exo members' faces stayed surprisingly constistent over the years and their procedures quite subtle compared to other SM senior artists? In honor of their recent comeback I fell down the rabbit hole again and rewatched a bunch of their old MVs for the first time in a while and it seems the most defining changes happened either predebut or during their first two years. Like I realized that Chen actually debuted with his original square jaw and only seemed to have his eyes done at debut (shame about the jaw, double eyelids alone already made him look enough like an idol) and Suho's nose job around Overdose was surprisingly obvious. Like I knew that happened but in direct comparison it kinda caught me off guard. Not that they didn't get anything else done over the course of their careers (some members *cough*Suho*cough* do tend to look a bit waxy at times), but compared to like, Taeyeon who was just mentioned I think they still look rather fresh and had genuinely good work done. This is not a dig at Taeyeon btw, she's my ultimate bias but by getting rid of most of her bone structure she manages to look somehow 16 and 40 at the same time imo. I just hope the need to look perfect doesn't get to the Exo members as they age and they keep their touch ups subtle. Might do a follow up post about the members if I feel like it, we haven't had one in many years.2 points

Lol sorry you can’t talk boob jobs here without getting clowned. Karina got one and posters still believe she is natural (like her face lmao). Us asians usually have rail thin, fridge or pear shape.2 points

Late but my thoughts on the show as of ep. 9: I think I have finally pieced together that Seonwoo is actually very insecure and seeks external validation by getting attention from others. I remember after the age and job reveal, he had made a confessional comment that he felt like he was less desirable because he is one of the oldest (at his big age of 31) and is only a business owner, even though none of them are in better off financial positions. His Instagram was also giving sad, lonely gay. So take someone like that and put them in a house full of attractive guys, a few of which are vying for his attention and it's the perfect storm for the dynamic we see. He's not interested in a relationship with neither SH or YH, but he does like that they are consistently giving him attention and validation that he is desirable so he keeps stringing them along. The whole date with YH was awkward not just because it felt like promo for his gelato shop, but they both know he doesn't like YH. Yet, SW wouldn't just state it plainly when YH asked him a point blank yes or no. Because SW doesn't want YH to stop calling him and stroking his ego. Notice how he kept asking YH on what he thought made him (SW) special, but couldn't return the favor. He does it with Sungho too where he never misses an opportunity to remind him that he isn't his usual type and that he would have never gone for him outside the house. I lowkey believe that SW is only interested in entertaining SH because he's mad that JS (who he actually likes) isn't giving him the attention he craves. I bet if Junsung was also torn between SW and SH, SW would be doing everything to lock him down and treating SH like a rival. The preview adds to my feeling because he's laying it on thick after SH starts following JS around like a lovesick puppy after their amazing date. I want to like Seonwoo but he's really not showing any consideration to anyone else's feelings in trying to be the nice guy and isn't serious about anyone and just won't admit it. I made a complete 180 on Hyungjin after that BS he pulled with JW. He created unnecessary drama and was so callous for no reason. It was obvious JW only asked him out because they were the only two left and it was pretty clear did not think anything of that date as more then going to check-in on and hang out with his dog. It was very presumptuous to think he was now in love with Hyungjin. And even moreso when Hyungjin had to double down on the "I would have rather stayed at home" when JW made it clear that wasn’t his thought process at all. He has zero EQ and kinda full of himself. I really only see JunSungho and MinHyeongjoon as end game pairings. If JunSungho don't end up together, the better have been a Bachelor "I made the wrong choice and actually want the other one" reveal. They are so clearly couple material it's crazy.1 point

minji from new jeans... i don't follow them but did her nose look like this predebut? it looks like the classic hybe nosejob imo1 point

Cute! They should make this grouping a subunit, if they want. (Not to stick to the cute concept but to still earn when Eunji isn't available. The group is talented and known too.) Speaking of Apink members, I get stupid happy when SHINee and Apink work together: Minho and former member Nauen will be acting together again in the upcoming drama, Melo House. Minho, Namjoo, and Hayoung's HARD challenge, Key and Bomi on YouTube, and Onew and Namjoo in their musical, Midnight Sun. ETA: The song posted above feels tailored for South Korea, I love it1 point

I don't remember if she was super active between the time IZ*ONE disbanded and IVE debuted, but she did have a long break when the Produce rigging scandal happened. Like the entire group laid low for months so it wouldn't surprise me that she (and some other IZ*ONE members) had something tweaked up during that time. I hope every idol who had works done would be given appropriate time to rest.1 point

I dont hate them but I am soooooo over kpop and their fake sales. Would it kill them to be transparent about the actual status of their career? This "let's pretend every random big 3 company kpop act is selling numbers and getting number ones" is a false achievement at this point and has no merit to it as it did in the past when sales were authentic. Fake success means you were never meant to "make it" imo. Thats why kpop stars dont leave a legacy behind them and fade away fast. The Real legends achieve success on their own. MJ, Madonna, and Prince didn't need to fake it! Whoever is investing in them must see the BS at this point. This is their version of payola1 point

Coco from CocoSori talks about some of her cosmetic procedures in this video: 1 - She got her bottom lip filled (07:12) and she shows the small bruise from the procedure. 2 - She got (another?) nose change, this time some work on the tip at 16:34 It's a shame that they can only talk about these things once they're no longer active in the idol industry.1 point

I know, right? It’s so refreshing to see that they don’t care about the public’s opinion and they find a way to even show more their bond and how special they are for eo. I found kinda funny how people (myself included tbh) thought they will stop after all the daily hate both get :(,:but they simply don’t care and somehow got bolder every time and I love that for them. Also the sandwich photo next to the selfie, Hanbin knew what he was doing with that post.1 point

It's so odd how some people on here pretend to be clued up about LGBT rights but then act like an idol wouldn't have myriad reasons to remain closeted. Also, the fact that some people thought Taehyung was gay and now think he is bi isn't demeaning to bi people. Context matters. People dismissing any reason for thinking he is part of the community(the CMBYN scene, obscure LGBT media etc) because of Jennie are the ones acting like bisexuality doesn't exist. No one is saying being part of the community means you know everything but it is true that there are certain things that LGBT people notice that others don't. That's not saying we can never be wrong. Obviously people know their.own sexuality more than anyone but knowing and admitting it are two very different things. You have to be living under a rock to not realise there are so many reasons why people don't come out. It happens in Hollywood which is comparatively progressive. It's not just people's careers either. You have no idea what their family are like. Or friends etc. It's a fact that LGBT idols exist. It's also a fact that the chances of them coming out are slim to none. It's also a fact that some fans act like they are accepting but lose their sh*t if you imply an idol they like could be LGBT. They act like it's so unlikely and rare. It's frustrating.1 point

In relation to what I shared on page 3893. The more El Capitxn (Yijeong) shows and mentions Yoongi on his Insta, the more I think that they're just friends because he wouldn't do it so much but then again it's interesting that he doesn't mind (?) when people ship them and even fuels their fantasies by posting freebies with fanarts he got like the one under. I mean even if he got it, wouldn't it be normal to just laugh at it or joke about it but not post it on Insta? He also updated fans about Yoongi's condition when even the company didn't do it so I believe they're just really good friends and El Capitxn himself doesn't mind interacting with the crazy part of Army fandom. Some fans find the post 'disturbing' and believe that El is crossing the line.1 point

This. I can't believe how many people out there (who are kpop fans) believe the idol 100% when he says he likes "girls only". Jokwon also said he liked "girls only" and was on WGM, let's not forget that. What an idol is supposed to say if 1) he hasn't enlisted yet 2) he might not be comfortable revealing his sexuality yet 3) why would he say the truth without worrying about the consequences in such conservative society? Kpop fans follow these idols but act as if they knew nothing about the Korean society and discrimination their faves could face if they said what was on their mind. Just yesterday I saw *let me laugh* shippers who said El Capitxn (HISTORY Yijeong) had to be straight because he said he liked "girl only". Not sure if you all heard about it but shippers had a meltdown because El Capitxn was a guest on Yoongi's radio, appeared in his documentary, posts photos of him with a heart, liked a tweet translating their conversation from the radio on Twitter, stays in the same hotel as him, and since he's responsible for the sound system during his tour, he attends all concerts and schedules. Yoongi saying they lived in Yoongi's house for a week and calling him a person that completes him/his other half musically was their limit. According to their logic people's sexuality is decided by their opinion only. Reminds me of Taekook shippers who can't believe Tae could be bi because "he can only be attracted to Jungkook" (...) If you want to know more about the relationship between Yoongi and El Capitxn and this drama, it all started in 2018 when El Capitxn was still "JPearl", joined BH and was revealed to have worked on Ddaeng. K-Fans found a post on his Instagram where he posted a cut from the MV teaser of "Idol" MV showing Yoongi's part only with a caption that was written in a slang, calling Yoongi "oppa" in a sexual way. They spammed his Insta comments asking him to delete because they were "afraid of rumors spreading about his sexuality". He edited the caption and then deleted it. Later he posted a video showing Yoongi's part during Ddaeng rehearsal (both posts are gone). After that he called Yoongi an angel for gifting him expensive music software. More under the spoiler Also, does everyone remember this video?1 point

I never said that he has to be LGBT, but it is true that people dismiss genuine reasons to think he is. It's more than him liking a bi actor or being "pretentious". I would also never act like being bi is a last resort so I don't know who that comment is aimed at. Bisexuality is very real and I'm not going to suddenly think someone must be straight because they are only seen with the opposite sex. I also never said Jennie and Tae is a publicity stunt. The truth still stands that most idols will never come out. Doesn't stop them existing. Just makes me laugh that some people are using this as a gotcha moment and to try and say it means Tae is straight and that's that.1 point

I don't think a majority of people on the thread thought Tae was gay. Some did sure but some also think bi/pan. I also don't think you can use one instance to say you don't ever know. After all, some idols are as out as they possibly can be ( Key, Jo Kwon etc) so I think it is fair to be certain. The same thing has happened with Hollywood actors. The different is, more of them will actually come out. Also, dating Jennie doesn't mean Tae is straight. Some fans ignore genuine reasons people think he is part of the community and act like it is all delusional shippers which isn't the case. It's also weird to me when people acknowledge that idols aren't always honest but act like an idol saying they are straight means they are, like there aren't a million reasons why they can't come out.1 point

There's no way Taennie is a PR relationship. Sometimes people need to take a step back, reevaluate and remove themselves from this thread and from their set opinions. They're dating. This is Kaistal all over again.1 point

You mean allegedly? Aka that Haribo crazy on the Internet who was stealing peoples pictures, setting upookalikes/models and editing photos in graphic design apps? To my knowledge there's been no evidence of any dating for reals between the two. If you mean the Paris pics the jury's still out on that. The Haribo thing was total bs though. I think they're being taken to court for that mess. We didn't all think he's gay. It's split between people who do, those who think he's on the spectrum somewhere and those who don't. If anyone thinks he's fully gay it's likely because of the constant vibes he gives off, his interests, his output, etc. Add to that his obvious irritation at invented stories on the Internet that he's dating girl banders and CEOs daughters. It's not really because of his dating life because HYBE has managed to keep all that side under wraps for over a decade with him.1 point
