Hi all, sorry for beating a dead horse but I've recently become a fan of Karina and I can't help but notice how much she's changed so much since Aespa's debut in 2020/2021. I know people talk about her entire transformation but I'm specifically wondering what she's had done since debut. When I look closer I don't see much difference in her individual features so it must have been very minor tweaks but her aura has changed completely. Best way I can describe it is that she transformed from more of a polarizing snake visual with wide-set eyes and a sharp v-line jaw and to a Barbie doll. I don't think it was just the blonde hair in Spicy because she has had the doll aura since Girls with the purple hair. Whatever she's had done makes her look gorgeous but it also got rid of most of her uniqueness. Now whenever I see recent pictures of her she looks like a bunch of different idols depending on her makeup and styling. I made a few before and after comparisons. Left is from 2021 and right is 2023. Sorry for the difference in quality, I tried to use Getty pictures to avoid editing of fansites and Korean photographers. Other pictures for comparison, not at the same angle/position (2021, 2022, 2023): Can someone give me the run-down on what she's had done since debut? I'm thinking: Inner eye corner surgery to lessen the space between her eyes Possibly a double eyelid surgery to make them larger Buccal fat removal Possible cheekbone shave too Rhinoplasty just to slim the nose cartilage Filler along the chin/jawline to soften it (compare the 2nd spoiler from 2021 to 2023) Also her eyebrows are now not as wide set as they previously were at debut which I figure may impact the harmony of her face as well.

People are joking right? Jisoo's heteronornative comments prove she is straight. Never understood why people thought otherwise, aside from wishful thinking. No lesbian or bi girl would make such comments about men and women not being friends. She has said heteronornative stuff before, so I'm disappointed not surprised she would make a statement that ignores LGBT peeps. People in this thread need to learn to give up on certain idols lol. Lisa on the other hand... I wish I could find the live where Lisa said something about a girl and Jisoo was like "but you are both girls". Not saying she is homophobic but straight for sure.

i'm not basing anything off of my own culture, i'm basing it off of what she actually said, and besides, this does not have much to do with culture. the whole "men and women can't be friends" belief is less to do with culture and more to do with heteronormativity which is prevalent everywhere.

This really is the kind of opinion I only see from straight women and especially straight women who assume everyone around them is also interested in the opposite sex. Idk when yall say idols are uncanny valley, i just dont see it. They look human but some looks like they’ve got stuffs done or looks botched but nevertheless still doesnt go the uncanny valley for me. What makes me think as uncanny valley is that russian barbie woman, but these idols look human to me.

Seeing idols in the west makes me realise how plastic and uncanny valley they look. Look at the bald asian guy behind him, he looks like he could be more attractive. Does anyone have photos of Jungkook and Eunwoo like this where it’s obvious they’ve got stuff done? Because this pic made my delulu cousin believe it was photoshopped to make him look bad and I want to snap her out of always elivating men. Some comments on the Pannchoa post suggest she might have gotten botox on her jaw to slim it. I do sort of agree that her face looked more like an oval egg shape before and looks more vline now, though I haven't gone through the effort of finding clear before and after pics to be certain. Idk I feel like the egg-shaped face worked for her because her facial features are cuter. She reminds me of a dumpling like Sohee in the early years of Wonder Girls. I rarely see the uncanny valley either for idols that get called that here. Sometimes i see it but then i notice it's just how idols get filtered/edited can make me think that. But when i see the idol maybe in western promos etc. i realize there is no hint of the uncanniness. There are few idols that have bit of canny valley look even outside of korean filters and editing, like Taeyeon and maybe Karina (tbh it somehow works with Karina). But i mostly dont see it

Man I hope Stayc's Seeun keeps her nose as is. She's mentioned her "big" nose being her main complex, but I think it'd be a tragedy to mess with her face because she's already so beautiful. Nose jobs seem so much easier to mess up compared to eyelid surgeries.

For me, the thing that looks really off is the jaw shave+ veneers or corner lip surgery +veneers. Like that just makes it look like they have too many teeth when they smile which really freaks me out. But other surgeries even of they’re bad are still tolerable.

I've been thinking about the friendship between WEi's Junseo and CIX's Hyunsuk. I don't know as much about CIX, but from what I gather, most people around here ping Hyunsuk. Specifically, Junseo sharing this holiday trip story about how Hyunsuk went to visit Junseo. 1. This was the first time Junseo took a friend from Seoul to his hometown of Ulsan. 2. Okay this may come down to translation, but him saying his friends are all nice and open-minded? Open minded could just mean being open to new friends, but it did stand out to me. 3. Saying this trip really felt like a holiday twice. It could just be him seeing all his old freidnds too, but he could've done that the other times he visited too. I really do think they are just good friends, but could they both be queer? I do remember something about Junseo having some celebrity guy as his lockscreen but can't remember who or in what context. The artists don’t have anything to apologise for and sm is still trash no matter how much they try to sugar coat it. I hope the guys weren’t coerced by any means, that they do have what they want but I also selfishly wish they’d fought till the end to break contracts with sm.

No, because these days he always looks like he is on drugs. I'm sorry, but i feel like there is definitely something going on with him. From the outburts in a western concert about the propaganda the western media does in the detriment of mainland China, to the dramatically loss of weight and tons of new cosmetic procedures , to the "accusation" by that rapper that he raped a girl, to inviting those female fans to his house and acting with them the same he acts with this girl, who is verry pretty btw but girl run. Even though i think he is bi he will for sure marry a woman and only date women publicly since he is the biggest Cpp suporter(and a piece of trash when it comes to human rights) and has openly talked about wanting a family. I am sure that he is going though a hard time, but he is still trash by a multitude of reasons and i wish people would talk less about this person. Like stop giving him exposure. I don't think so, but I do believe they should get premarital counseling separately and together, financial consulting, and sitting down and laying out the groundwork of what they expect from the marriage and each other. I think a lot of people go into marriage with a fanciful understanding not truly knowing what it takes to make a marriage work. However, I also believe in remaining abstinence before marriage so my opinion doesn't work by default
