I‘m not sure why every time someone brings up that they think a celebrity is not gay others think they are attacking bisexuals? not everything has to be an issue, y‘all. I‘ve said this before and I‘ll say it again: opinions can change the more context you get.4 points

Seeing a lot of Taeyong and Felix interactions popping up, seems like the two have become quite friendly. Mostly people have pointed out their closeness at the music shows. Such as this thread: They have filmed multiple dance challenges and apparently started playing League of Legends together Love to see a growing friendship between two of our boys3 points

no cuz when i saw news on their pre sales breaking records, and even the rcord that was set by 17 before, i was like. no shot bruh. and im thinking theres 10+ versions. and theres liek double that im-. and ive seen fans defend this like multiple covers does not mean more version.. girl i assure you its not like that. bc if someone has the means to, and theyre otx, usually buying every album version.. yeah. theyre gonna do this. and ngl i find it slightly more insidious looking at their stores bc, im scrolling thru 17's and like wow thats a lot, but skz store is like u get random version. like the poor collectors gotta be losing their mind, maybe seeking out specific version on trades or ebay, idk. and at the end of the day, its their money. go for it. but im saying this as someone who used to be buying albums. over a few years i accumulated like over 100 albums being a multi, and im glad i had this phase during when it was like 3 version max, but usually only 1 or 2. when i had to move into room about half the size w/ no closet in 2020, i had to downsize heavily so yeah. its just im sad for these people.. albums are expensive and take up so much space. albeit, from what ive seen the version w cover for each member is like small jewel case ish. which is better but when youre buying give or take 10 of them, if youre collector, or even just a few just getting ur bias line or sumn. it just sucks. and these fans dont gaf of my pity for them but im just saying. unless you have fuck you money, theres so much better sht to be spending it on, or for the best, saving it. and i hate kpop albums in general, complained ab this on OH so much, but companies should honestly just sell digital or sumn, and either bundle esque you get photocards sent, or sell those as well on your site, and othercollectible they hav etc. bc ngl, i did love the experience of unboxing an album and seeing what i get and etc. but its not worth the money at th end of the day imo. and i wish someday kpop companies will wake up to this. but they wont bc in a business standpoint theyre gouging money from fans and it works out. but ive always hated albums bc of thewaste of it. like when fans bulk buys for fansign or whatever other reason. and they have dozens of extra albums, putting it lightly, and they end of trashing or donating them. not even hating on either of the grouops btw, so no offense stans, i just find the companies doing this very sleezy.3 points

the only thing about this is that he cropped the watermark of the original editor and put his own song over the edit. so some are saying he could just be using kpop fans to get attention for his new song i like troye’s music, but i wouldn’t put it past anyone to use the hype that kpop has because of the dedication from the stans, which i’m sure he’s seen first-hand being around hyunjin and jennie3 points

Chaeyeon had some of the most unnecessary and noticeable work done. A lot of it wasn't executed the way it should've been, imho. When you look at her face, it's clear what work she's done. Not to mention - they give her the wrong styling. Her hair colors, syles, even brows and skin lightening make her look so washed out. Meanwhile, I don't agree with what you said about her sister. She does not look totally unrecognizable. She looks like her predebut self, but enhanced. All of her work was successful and more subtle. Like, this is clearly the same girl? while Chaeyeon does look like a completely different person to me3 points

source: https://theqoo.net/index.php?mid=square&document_srl=2831227619 Mijoo appeared promoting her new song Hahaha Armand told Mijoo he thought she was 20 (she is 28 and he 19) Poor Armand hahaha He talked about his Photoism cropout (you can take photos with his cutout edited in in any Photoism booth in Korea) Hahahaha His expression hahahaha Awwwwwwwwwwwww What he said at the end of interview, after Mijoo left Max was distracted by eating Mak-guksu but he didn't fail to laugh at Armand https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asYSYUJJwx0 Comments: 1. Armand's eyes in the thumbnail hahahaha 2. I've never seen Armand act this way 3. Mijoo is so pretty 4. The way Max claps his hands when he laughs like he's Korean 5. I'd fall in love with Mijoo too 6. Aww Armand kept glancing at Mijoo, he really fell in love 7. Mijoo suits this simple style and light makeup 8. It's been a while since I've last seen them and Max grew up so much, last time I checked he was the smallest of the bunch 9. Max just eating his Mak-guksu while all of this is taking place is too funny 10. Mijoo's style and look was particularly pretty in this video 11. Mijoo's personality is overflowing with charms 12. The two of them do look good together 13. When Mijoo asked if he was flirting with her, the translator asked Armand about it in English and he nodded his head yes 14. She has a good personality and she's so pretty, I like Mijoo too 15. Get in line Armand 16. Max just eating and laughing on the side is way too funny 17. How is Mijoo not Armand's age? 18. Armand with those heart eyes 19. She's even prettier in real life 20. After all, beauty is universally recognized 21. Armand is damn handsome 22. Armand please take a number and stand in line, no cutting in! 23. Armand was adorable in this 24. If she doesn't want him, I'll just take him 25. In the next episode, they'll take them for a Korean style makeover. I can't wait to see, he's crazy handsome. 26. At first, Armand was the one who caught my eye, but these days I find Max the cutest. He's so much taller than before too. 27. Mijoo did a really great job dancing 28. It's understandable that he reacted like this because Mijoo is so charming and pretty 29. Armand is really cute 30. When the boys told Mijoo they were 19 and she told them they can't call her noona anymore but auntie hahaha2 points

ZB1 lore - an essay by yours truly Vocabulary: Youth In The Shade teaser - YitS New 3-minute teaser - 3MIN KCON video clip - VCR Zhang Hao awakens at the beginning of both the VCR and 3MIN teasers. In 3MIN, it's quite evident that he is in a virtual reality (VR) world, and it can be assumed that he was also in a VR world during the VCR, given the similar starting scenes. Waking up serves as a clue that he has entered a new world/ map/ whatever you want to call it. Thanks to VR, Hao and everyone with a VR set can travel between worlds (the connection to The Little Prince musical segment becomes clearer with each passing day). Little Prince Zhang Hao uwu What was The Little Prince about again? It centered around a child, the narrator, who aspired to be a painter but gave up due to a lack of understanding from adults. Instead, he became an airplane pilot. When he becomes an adult, he crashes his plane in the Sahara Desert, leading to an encounter with the prince and yadda yadda We don't need to know the entire story, but three crucial points stand out: a) the frequent mention of the adult world (Earth), b) according to the fox, the truly important things are only visible to the heart, and c) the Little Prince falls in love with a rose and returns to his planet, driven by his love for that particular rose, despite encountering numerous roses on Earth. It sounds familiar, doesn't it? I won't even delve into the Here I Am music video because that belongs to another era. Thus, it's evident that we are the roses. Youth in the Shade... no further elaboration is needed. In my interpretation, "shade" represents VR, a reflection or replica of the real world, or perhaps the mundane and dark aspects of reality. We need more teasers. It's too early to discuss which members represent specific characters; perhaps they drew inspiration from the general concept of the story rather than taking a direct "The Little Prince but make it VR" approach. From YitS, I'd say Hanbin might embody the fox, considering he portrayed the character in the musical rsrsrs. Yunjin, based on the 3MIN teaser, might represent the narrator since he looks thirsty rsrsrs. However, it's not a one-to-one comparison. The overall vibe seems to revolve around Prince Zhang Hao's journey across worlds to beat loneliness and meet his friends. Now, since it's VR, we are left with the question: "Are they real?" In my opinion, Hao is either human or an AI, possibly an NPC that has evolved to experience emotions. However, I'm more inclined (99.9% sure, in fact) to believe he's human, considering he's the one wearing the VR set. Based on the BP era, the most logical interpretation is that everyone is real, and VR is the realm where they can be together, searching for each other across the universe, and so on. BUT- (explained later) Part 2 of the 3MIN teaser (after Hao removes the set) is set in the real world. As Matthew suggests, "it's time to make it real." They step out of the game, walk on a wet floor, and then Hao wakes up with his shoes soaked in water. They've transformed VR into reality. I'm not exactly sure where this is heading, and it might not even make sense, but that's how it is. I believe we can delve into some philosophical discussions and debate the nature of reality. Are the experiences we have in a simulation not real or inferior to those in the physical world? How can we be certain we're not currently in a simulation (the sudden shift towards conspiracy theories wew)? If my theory is correct, these questions can be explored. I have another question: Why are they all knocking on Hao's door right after he logs out? Were they playing outside in the dark? It doesn't make sense. The plot isn't plotting. Something fishy is going on. The real world might not be as "real" as we think, in my opinion. Could Hao be attempting to bring his NPC friends into the physical world? To merge them somehow? I think part 2 of 3MIN, rather than taking place in the "real" world, represents a mix. There are still many unanswered questions, but this is the overall impression, I believe. TL;DR: The only thing I'm certain is genuinely real in this world is the Supreme Center of the Universe, Heartstring Virtuoso, President of the Chinese CUNTress University, Prince of All Multiverses, Le Main Slayer Zhang Hao's slayfulness. Edit: i forgot to add something rsrsrs by the end of 3MIN we see "sound 35" mirrored (a shadow). Boys Planet was always about binary merging (2 groups to 1, 2 centers to 1 center). So in my theory they are merging real (0) with virtual (1), which is what we call shadow (base) and that's where they are in the 2nd part of 3MIN Thanks for coming to my TED talk2 points

Wanso: (about their hard times) WanD: There are times when I'm too busy or having a hard time. But when I feel that way, listening to other people's various stories can motivate me to work harder. (...) And my fans say good things to me every day. They are a great comfort to me. And my acquaintances/friends say a lot of good things to me to the point where I feel that I'm doing well. I'm comforted and motivated because they say good things to me anytime, anywhere, and they are always by my side. Thanks to them, I can continue to move forward. In my case, neither of my parents liked me becoming a singer. But my friend asked me to go to an audition with them, so I secretly did it. I didn't expect much, but I passed the first audition. They told me to come again the next day. Since it's something I started anyway, I decided to talk to my parents about this. But I went with my mom because I thought my dad would get angry. And I haven't heard from the company for a while, they contacted me a few months later, and they offered me to come to Korea and become a trainee. And only then did I tell my father about it. My mom helped me persuade my dad, too. And they gave me a chance, telling me that my life is mine and the consequences of every choice are what I have to endure. (Thanks to wandj221.)2 points

Hello guys, I've been a casual reader of this thread since 2016 and decided to put my humble input of my personal opinion of idols that could be part of the community, as always I’m up for some conversation and do feel freely to disagree with me. 2AM: Jo Kwon (he’s basically living on a glass closet, always embracing proudly lgbtq+ elements/art expression, I really admire and adore him). SHINee: Key (another one that goes without saying). U-Kiss: Soohyun (I will never forget those leaked messages with Jo Kwon). EXO: Sehun (from his mysterious relationship with that chef to him confessing on a concert he likes men), Suho (his relationship with Donghwan was kinda suspicious, from Donghwan’s old instagram posts and to Suho even admitting he’s his soulmate on a Vlive and said he helped him write love songs for his debut solo album, I sincerely hope they still going strong), Kyungsoo (I can’t remember any interesting recipe at this moment, but I do admit is pure vibes). BTS: Suga and Taehyung (them always embracing too popular lgbtq+ elements/art has made me curious, Taehyung always gave me bisexual vibes) NCT: Ten (another one popular opinion, personally since that element on the star of NCT where his teacher confirmed he indeed didn’t have interested in women, I got the feel he is one of us). I do admit with the rest of NCT I have my doubts, specially with Jeno, but there hasn’t been anything specially concrete. IMFACT: The whole group was kinda interesting, but if i have to go with someone is Ungjae, boy has been embracing it since the debut. SEVENTEEN: Hoshi (let’s be honest, his relationship with Soohyuk is definitely interesting, matching items, always on dates, etc), Jun (though he’s very flirty with men, he always pinged me as a bisexual). CIX: Hyunsuk (I adore him, from him saying on vlive his heart beats with male actors than with female actresses to him being obsessed with Maxence), the whole group is indeed interesting though. BOYS PLANET: Boys Planet deserves a honorable mention, the program was very lively with possible members of the community. Seowon, Haruto, Woonggi, Hojin, Chen Kuanjui, etc. ZB1: Zhang Hao (he was basically out as he could be back in his town, from all the pre-debut posts that got leaked from his old deleted accounts), Sung Hanbin (was basically a member of a house, despite most of people thinking he got deyassified from his younger self, he simply is not flamboyant personality-wise). Zhang Hao and Sung Hanbin relationship simply strikes my interest, after all the content from BP and non public interactions after that it wouldn’t surprised me if they have something going on. Despite everything, honestly their bond is such a breath of fresh air. That’s all I have on my old memory for now.2 points

I agree, her nose doesn't need to be slimmer, it's already slim, they're just making it look too sharp like this. Her natural eyebrow shape is great, they changed it to a shape that doesn't suit her face. And the blonde washes her out. MUAs and hairdressers are doing her dirty.2 points

I feel like the surgeries for her keep getting worse. The surgeries have become really noticeable, even to someone who has not followed her. Like everyone could tell she has done something to her face even if never seen her 'previous' pictures. The distance between her upper lip and nose tip change really threw her face balance off along with whatever she keeps doing to her lips. I know hindsight wont help but her really have should stopped at the latest in 2020. I feel bad for Chaeyeon, her sister keeps getting praised for visuals getting better (more suitable surgeries) but she is stuck trying to make improvements to her not so well-done surgeries. I've said it before but she should just let everything settle for awhile and then decide what to do. But it looks like she is going to fast cycle of surgeries and fillers which none of are doing her justice. (And the current hair washes her out so bad, like honestly i dont remember when i have seen as bad hair color match as hers)2 points

yeah.. him asking how to reach could be, but i feel like if it were to be genuine, there would just be.. other ways to go about it? like, a tweet would’ve been enough but cropping a watermark and changing the song to his own, knowing how much social media engagement it would get.. idk editing is something that takes people hours and it’s one thing if some random person crops and reposts, but a celebrity is a different ballgame and him doing all that vs a tweet saying hey #stays where can i contact #hyunjin would’ve sufficed1 point

The amount of versions is actually ridiculous, Billboard had a whole section on their article outlining them and well, just take a look: https://www.billboard.com/music/chart-beat/stray-kids-5-star-number-one-debut-billboard-200-albums-chart-1235351204/ Like many K-pop releases, the CD edition of 5-STAR was issued in collectible CD packages (18 total, including exclusives for Barnes & Noble, Target, Walmart and a signed edition in the group’s webstore), each containing a standard set of bonus items and randomized elements (photo cards, mini posters, sticker sets, photo books). There were also four alternative digital versions of the album, sold only in the act’s webstore, each containing the base song tracklist, but with alternative covers and bonus voice memos from individual members of the eight-member group, each selling for $6.99. i have no idea if its standard for billboard to explain exactly how many versions an album has but it felt lowkey shady of billboard to put this in1 point

Excellent album once again, I like that they’re keeping in theme with The World EP 1. I also love how dramatic everything is, come on theatrics! Outlaw and This World are probably my favorites…I’ve had Outlaw on repeat all morning like it’s tew good. After re-listening Dune is really good too, we love some ominous chanting1 point

I don't know if I'll be able to watch this live, but after watching the first episode I liked both the the Cherry Bullet girls' performances (Jiwon and Bora) as well as Nana's. Riina's personality is entertaining. Out of the group performances they released ahead of time, my favorite is the PICK-CAT team performance. I'm telling myself it's not because they have the word "cat" in their group name.1 point

I think her nose would, at least, look better if they changed the way they counture it, it's making it look even more slim than it is which is why it is looking so odd depending on the angle, wish kpop muas would embrace idols' button noses and do contouring to match it rather than try to slim it1 point

About the actor talk, Y'all should look at Woo Do Hwan's I live alone episode and tell me you don't get vibes. His relationship with Lee Sangyi is just like a couple's. Like he seems genuinely in love with him lol. When i see these older men with no record of public hetero dating in close relationships with handome guys i think it's kinda natural to suspect them. Although i still think that a lot of queer people not just bi, but also gay in south korea still chose the straight lifestyle. Like they will get married and have kids regardless of orientation. Some mm actor couples i believe to have been true at some point in time: Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sangyi Hoshi and Lee So Hyuk GD and Lee So Hyuk Sehun and the chef DO and an actor whose name i forgot Got7 Jinyoung and his older costar Kyuhun and the penthouse actor Gong Yoo and kang do won the disgraced actor Jisoo and Nam Joo-Hyuk Bogum and Song JoongKi Sehun and Ahn Bo Hyun(not sure about this one) Suho and his actor boyfriend(They have been going on for years now) Seo In Guk and Hoya etc. I am sure there are more1 point

Who clowned me, smh. I said what I said! It's literally not Snow White at this point. Like, they've changed too many things for it to still even resemble the original product. And anyway, normally, idgaf about a white character being changed to a different skin color (bc why would I??), but the movie is literally called SNOW WHITE. They literally talk about how she has skin as WHITE as SNOW. This is one of the few cases where changing the character's race makes 0 sense.1 point

I don't know, did you lie? And by that I mean are you actually playing dumb or are you not playing? Because it's impossible for these particular characters to be anything other than white Europeans, and it doesn't take a genius to reach this conclusion. I'm using the perfectly valid "it's Europe!!" argument because the story takes place in post-medieval Central Europe, which is not only extremely pertinent but also equally evident if you have ever actually SEEN Disney's animated version... or really any version. Snow White? Like it or not, but she was named that for an actual reason. Her skin being "white as snow" is literally a plot point. I'm sorry you think these are minor details, but they are not. Would you have been fine with the live-action remake of Mulan starring a white woman? Maybe Scarlett Johansson? No? Didn't think so. Don't try to make me sound racist just because I don't want a nonsensically unfaithful adaptation due to something as basic as casting. You don't get to use the "she's a fish!!" excuse here.1 point
-
Yeah, let's just conveniently ignore the fact that the characters in this story (and the origin of the story itself) are emphatically EUROPEAN. If we ever invent time travel during our lifetimes, I want you to go back to 16th century Germany and try explaining to them what the hell a "BIPOC" is.1 point
