  1. Popular opinion but doctors who perform unnecessary plastic surgeries on children should lose their license

  2. I think it’s possible since quite a few celebrities have gotten their noses tweaked at age 14 like Bella Hadid or even younger. Eunchae from Le Sserafim also debuted at 15 and had a nose job before debut, so she was no older than 15.

  3. Thank you for the answer, I understand now roughly what he has gotten done, but I still don't understand the Why. Perhaps I worded it poorly, but I was more wondering: what was the aesthetic end goal? Why would they put something extra in his nose when it was already big? What look are/were they going for? Adding that he himself has stated his nose is an insecurity, it makes very little sense to me that they put an implant there. Did the implant somehow markedly improve the look of his nose? It all just seems so unnecessary because the starting point was "guy with big regular nose" and ended with "guy with big regular nose". (And there is nothing wrong with a big nose. I'm just lost as to what they were going for.)

  4. As for ZB1, in my opinion, the members that got a nose job are: Jiwoong, Zhanghao, Hanbin, Matthew, Taerae, Ricky, Gyuvin, Gunwook, Yujin. wait, that’s all the members I kinda love that most of their noses are different, that’s what you get when your group members are from different companies lol. When I look at Yujin I just see that his nose is not natural, same like Gyuvin, they look more far from the lips than they are supposed to. Especially looking from the side, but I cannot find any picture of Yujin from the side profile now.

  5. I'm sorry I got busy and I forgot to post. edit: guys what do you need to believe a male celebrity is gay? A video of them sleeping with another man with an official statement from their company? It's ridiculous at this point.

  6. His nose implant has been drooping a little low with time. In some pictures, especially those from a lower angle, it almost seems like his nose is folding down a little bit. Below shows him predebut (before his first nose implant), 2018 (debut year), 2020, and the last two rows are from this month. Kind of bums me out because he was a cute kid at debut: And he had the right features to look classically handsome in 2020: I feel like these days when I see his face, his nose and lips stand out way more than they used to, though I'm sure part of it is makeup. I don't like the lip filler on him, though the nose implant drooping is something he doesn't have control over and will need to get fixed eventually. Seems so stressful to have plastic surgery that requires maintenance like nose implants that droop or a jaw shave that requires the occasional face lift. I only learned recently from a Reddit thread that jaw shaves can also increase the deepness of labionasal folds since that entire side of your face has lost part of its anchor, and it's hard to get that skin attached in the same way that it used to be.

  8. Chan is interesting case with his ps for me. Because it's not like his plastic surgery is trying to mold him into 'standard kbs mold'. Like they didnt narrow his nose by huge amount or anything. I honestly dont know what they are trying to achieve. I feel like it just removed some of his old charm, but without really changing much? I dont know really how to explain lol. Like they tried to change something without really thinking how it would fit his face

  9. If you know him well you can tell it's just really a coincidence lol. Some people jumped to a conclusion and got disappointed because that's not what he meant, even saying he backtracked or the company limiting him(the post is still up unedited on ig btw). Felix has been sharing stuffs that seemed like hints, like giving that rec of Diana Ross' I'm Coming Out or a yt series featuring a gay couple and mvs with gay storyline among other things, and he never clarified despite people were making assumptions of him after that. since we talked about Felix here's him checking out Changbin and can't take his eyes off of those muscles(he does this often).

  10. Kpoprocedure on Instagram has a good summary of his cosmetic changes, but you can see in the predebut pictures I linked above that his nose was a little flatter and down-turned when he was a trainee. I didn't have time to find pictures that matched the angle of those predebut pictures, but if you just search for pictures of him online, you'll see that he doesn't have the down-turned, slightly hooked nose anymore. His nose bridge is always straight now or slightly hooked if he's smiling. I think his first nose job (see the above 2018 pictures) was decent. It gave him a straighter nose bridge and a little more height, but it wasn't noticeably "plastic" unless you knew what his nose looked like before. I don't think he did anything to decrease the width of his nose before debuting. Kpoprocedure thinks he got an alarplasty a couple years after debuting to bring in his nostrils and make the base of his nose slimmer, though I think if he got one, it's subtle enough that I have a hard time being certain. His nose is definitely bigger and wider than the average kpop idol and Bang Chan definitely mentions it as an insecurity, but to me, it was refreshing to see a guy who was less of a delicate flower-boy type. I personally think JB from Got7, Taecyeon, and 2020 Chan are some of the most attractive male faces because they tend to have more masculine features like wider noses, a stronger jawline, and smaller and more hooded eyes.

  11. I mean most idols debuting at this age have gotten work done as far as I think. I don’t even believe it’s a new developtment. I think even Jungkook had gotten cosmetic enhancements done before debut (correct me if I’m wrong). And if I do remember this falsely, then I want to say he still absolutly got work done (in my opinion) while being underage, my latest guess would be he started from around 2015, at 17. Teenagers that young might maybe not get huge operations, like jaw shaves, necessary right away but I think it’s a lot more normalised in sk to start out young with “smaller” enhancements (like double eyelid surgery for ex). Like even (some) regular high schoolers get cosmetic enhancements, sometimes even as graduation gifts.

  13. As someone who has defended Halle Bailey repeatedly for The Little Mermaid, in Snow White's case, the character's fair skin is a crucial part of the character and a motif of the story. We can be flexible and put a fair skinned character that is not necessarily white (they can be pale East Asian), and even that would be stretching it bc "Snow WHITE", you know. Overall, leave characters whose race is crucial to the story and historical characters untouched. Or... start making newer diverse work so actors are not subjected to racism. These constant remakes are blatant cash grabs. If A24 didn't exist Hollywood would be shit.

  15. Mm I just looked at Kpoprocedure's post on him again and agree with them that he might've only increased his nose projection/height once (predebut), mostly to get rid of his downturned nose and replace it with the more commonly-desired straight nose bridge. In theory, that would only increase his nose's projection/height and not make it look wider (wide noses being less desirable in the kpop industry). If you look at his promotional pictures over time, his image was softer and more natural in 2018-2019 and more intense in 2020 and after, and I do feel like his nose sort of "fits" the change in that it's softer early on and sharper and more "refined" later on. His face on the left side of the below picture shows what he started off looking like (softer and more natural), and the face on the right side shows what he (or his management) seems to be aiming for with his more recent styling (heavier eye shadow, more lip color, bolder hairstyles). I feel like their usual go-to these days is to either make him look like a "bad boy" like the below picture on the right, or they'll give him light blue or gray contact lenses and make him look more like an AI character (Maniac and Thunderous eras).

  16. Wow Jun from SVT looks a bit different these days? His face somehow seems smaller but it's still angular so maybe it's just some extreme weight loss? recent pics aju nice era predebut Seems like he has been having well defined features as a kid and only touches his face here and there in a minor way... but i hope he's moderate with that because he's already looking good. But yeah being in show business and the peer/self pressure to look good all the times can do things to you.

  25. I agree. I also don’t really understand it, because Chan often mentions that his nose is too big and he doesn’t like it. I would assume he wants to get it smaller then…

  26. I hope he hadn't done it but I also had a feeling he might have. While it is unethical to give children plastic surgery, we've seen it in K-pop before and we still see it today. Even in the West there are cases like Dove Cameron. Entertainment industry is scary and stage parents are even scarier

  36. Not really... I kinda understand the confusion behind this one more than the others (the name). Plot holes like that can be really off-putting, even when they have nothing to do with race, gender, etc. But honestly, it's not hard to choose a different reason behind her name being Snow White. It's obvious they chose a latina actress because they wanted to assure audiences they weren't reiterating this idea of "fairest skin" = "most beautiful" to children. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with. I also don't think there is anything wrong with changes. Snow White and the Huntsman was fun to watch because of how different it is from the 1937 film. The problem with these Disney remakes is that they don't make any INTERESTING changes. They feel like a bland copy of the animated versions. All that money they have and the movies are so lackluster.

  37. Disney stays on whatever agenda is currently being pushed, appealing to the sensitives, broken feminism, and other ridiculous ideas. Everything that they are changing is what made the movie what it was even making Snow White "colored". Like what was said, if so much is changed why not just create something new, plus we need our own, not changing white princesses into black ones because there's is already an idea/image associated with those princesses. Honestly, I don't even claim Princesses and the Frog, she was originally white too and she stayed a frog the whole movie ridiculous.

  38. disney live actions are getting worse and worse in my opinion recently the only one i kind liked was the peter pan live action but only bc this time they didn't tried to make peter look like he was the good guy. we all know that he was twisted and creepy in the original tale version. Said that, i noticed this is the main problem with disney live actions. it seems to me they are trying to appeal to everyone and taking things from the original source and then no one like the end result (not the fans of the original story and much less the fans of the disney version) they completly ruined mulan for me bc of that. we like mulan bc she tried hard and didn't give up not bc she was the chosen one and have chi or whatever it was i usually don't mind with 456785678 versions and alterations of tales of cinderella, snow white, etc created by other studios but this is disney and you expect them to be as faithful as possible as their own version bc that is what people that grew up with the cartoon liked so i dont get their choices for some things they changed And then there is also the "problem" of they are trying to be more representability, which their old tales' animation clearly don't have. i usually don't have much problem with it but sometimes i think they are trying too hard to be inclusive and piss eveyone with it if they are so desperate to have representativity in their movies, i would be interested to see a live action of "the princess and the frog" but partially scared they would changed things for stupid motives Anyway, i just think it would be better if they just create new stories instead of continuing wrongly adapt their own version of tales

  40. Some on twitter and kfans thinking Hanbin is straight is just delusional. Hanbin specialized in tutting and wacking and it's heavily connected to LGBTQ+ pop culture, he danced to "Call me mother" by Rupaul, he slapped a girl friend buttcheek in one vid. Do people think girls would let their straight male friends do that? Most girls only let their boyfriends or their close gay friends do that. "Hao hyung and I have a lot of similarity" and then Hao looking at the camera and smiled. Does it ever cross people mind the reason he's so close to a foreigner is because they are mirroring each other like what Hanbin said? We know Zhang Hao likes men, so do people understand what Hanbin mean by mirroring each other? Their inner core is similar so they understand that struggle. During the show many people on reddit and twitter are doing mental gymnastics and all I can feel is just homophobia. I get that stereotypes about gay men are harmful, many people don't want their favs to have gay rumor because of homophobic surroundings but there are people in denial about his interaction with people, who he opens up to and these things are not stereotypes. They automatically assume people are straight, straight or "normal" is the norm, but when there are suggestion that one might not be straight, they throw in "Don't assume people sexuality".
