My fav japanese drama is Shitsuren Chocolatier. It's a cheesy romance drama with beautiful people and beautiful chocolates lol. IDK if you'd be into it but I love it.

I love melodramas so yeah, this movie has a deep story and i'd strongly reccomend

Also I'd recommend Akai Ito (Threads of Destiny) which is another sad japanese film, but that wasn't as good as Tenshi no Koi imo

I've also watched Limit, a series about a group of teenagers who get stranded in the middle of a forest after they have a huge bus accident. I didn't enjoy that one as much, but the concept is very interesting.

Thanks, it's exactly the sort of film I've been looking for!  :chu:

I tried watching the Akai Ito drama but couldn't get into it, might check out the film though.  :)

Nodame Cantabile! Just let yourself go and laugh with it :) Princess Jellyfish is also a light and cute one

Also if you're ever in the mood for a heavier drama I'd try Mother, and for movies I'd watch Confessions (2010). Both are amazingly good. Mother is particularly a slow burn but boy did it wreak havoc on me throughout the drama. I couldn't stop crying thinking about the little girl haha. Confessions is just pure psychological play (no gore or injuries or anything, mostly mind stuff) but it's so good I have to watch it every year lol
